Spam Sucks

Hello All,
It's come to our attention that people have been advertising and messaging places like "divinedeals", which offers you free giftcards if you make so many people click on their links and then they take surveys.
This is spam, and not okay to post on Alacrity anywhere. Moreover, most of these sites are scams, and you will not get the money/gift card/ipod or whatever it may promise you in return for completing a survey, making people click on something, etc.
If you have been doing this on Alacrity, please stop. If you've received one of these "divinedeals" messages from a user, please do not go to the link that you were sent and instead report the message to us.
As these sorts of things ask for your personal information like your phone number, home address, real name, and often times credit cards, we do not trust them and do not allow them posted on Alacrity.
Please remember that if you're under 18, talk to a parent before giving that information out to any website at all, as your personal information is often sold to other companies and then you are called/emailed/mailed with spam and other things. Never give out information without knowing exactly what that company will do with it, and if it's a survey to win anything free of any kind, please remember that they're funding that free item by selling your personal information.
We want everyone on Alacrity to be safe online, so please watch out for each other by making sure nobody is getting involved with scams like these.
Yours,
ZJ

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it could be a goose.
Remember, things aren't free. People don't give things away for free. If something sounds too good to be true, it is.
