It's been far too long since our last referral contest, so it's time for us to ask you all to dust off your referral banners and tell all of your friends just how great Alacrity is! You can find general referral information and the code for the referral banners on the
Referrals Page This referral contest will be running for approximately two weeks, starting now and ending around Midnight on Sunday, June 3rd. We will award prizes to the top 3 referrers!
- First Place: 50 Bones and your choice of any one site item! (custom accessories/companions not included)
- Second Place: 30 Bones and your choice of any one site item! (custom accessories/companions not included)
- Third Place: 15 Bones!
You can always visit the
Referral Contest Leaderboard page to see where you stand. Only referrals which verify their account via their valid email address will award you a point. You will receive both referral contest points and regular referral points for everybody who lists you upon sign up (you can exchange your regular points for Bones on the referral page!).
Referral contests are exciting! However, don't cheat to rack up referral points for yourself. Someone cheats every year and every year we have to ban that person from Alacrity. Banning people makes us really sad, so seriously, just don't do it. To clarify a few points in this regard, please ensure you're familiar with
The Rules, as well as pay attention to these finer points:
- Multiple Account offenders are banned from Alacrity. See General Rule #9 for more details.
- While it's awesome that your friends may want to sign up for an account while they're over at your house, we cannot tell that you are two separate people. Don't share items, money, or dogs between your accounts. Again, see General Rule #9 for more details.
- Accounts which will stay on your IP should not list you as a referral. This typically includes siblings, parents, or anyone that lives with you. If you're confused about this, please ask for clarification in the Issue Hub!
- Referrals are about getting more players who are genuinely interested in playing Alacrity! Please avoid asking 800 of your closest friends to simply make two accounts and then abandon the game. We don't have a rule about this, but it's seriously bad form.
- All of Alacrity's rules still apply, so pay attention to them.
