Lunar Moths and June Plans!

Due to high and persistent demand, the item Lunar Moths has received a revamp in art by our newest member of the art team, Cord! You may refresh your dogs' images if you have this item equipped, to see the new and very beautiful rendition of this gorgeous species of moth.

In other news, the admin team is actively working together with our coders to finally get the ball rolling on some bug fixes and new features! Here's what we have in store for June!

*Fixing the Mother Nile Crocodile, Savage Werewolf, and Circus Pony companions.

*Removing Super Rewards - This feature has proved to cause much more trouble than it's worth, and on many occassions has infected user's computers with viruses on top of failing to deliver bone rewards. We feel it is in everyone's best interest to get rid of this potentially harmful and faulty feature ASAP, though we do apologize to anyone who enjoyed this feature without issue. We must keep in mind the safety and security of our users, as well as take into consideration how unreliable Super Rewards has been.

*Enabling leasing fees for females - This will allow users to "stud" their females the same as male dogs, which is a feature that gained a lot of support in our Suggestion Forums.

*Adding base coats and eye colors as searchable fields for general search as well as auction/sales search - This has also received a great deal of support in the past on the forums, and will help our users to narrow down their searches for dogs of their preferences.

Announcements will be made when these fixes and features are finalized and ready for public use! As the new general manager, I have every intention of making sure we get Alacrity on the right track by making sure we have something new to give our users every single month, by addressing old issues as well as taking more notice of what you, the players, have suggested for the betterment of the game. While not all suggestions will always be implemented, the admin team will continue to strive to pay attention to what our users want, balanced with what Alacrity needs to continue its success and improvement. We're all working diligently, and we appreciate everyone's input and your continued patronage!

It's been said many times, but Alacrity would not be what it is without user support, so many thanks to all of you that have stuck with us for so long, and to all our new and future members yet to come! <3

Yes, but you can't search by TP in auctions, and that's primarily what I'm looking at :)

Chris, auctions and sales already display together if you just go to Earthly Goods > Auctions. :}

How awesome to hear! Looking forward to the companion fixes and also advanced search options, that will be great in particular for auctions! Maybe we could have an option 'search auctions and sales' so is displays both? Just thinking out loud!

Also female leasing, great one!

Hello Alacrity!

It would seem with the influx of new users, there's a bit of confusion as to how things work around here. One of the main issues we've been seeing lately is "hacking" (others accessing your account without permission) and/or allowing other users getting on to your accounts. There are some simple, easy ways to stop this from happening!

First off, never give your account information to anyone else.
If you don't log in after midnight rollover, your dogs will not age, so there is no reason for anyone to "account sit" or "dog sit" for you. Yes, you may not be able to use your training sessions for those days, but that is the nature of the game, and is a small price compared to losing your account entirely!

Secondly, always remember to log out if anyone but you will use the computer you are on. Be it a significant other, a cousin, sister, or best friend visiting your house, remember to keep yourself logged off! You will be held responsible for anything they do on your account!

Third, if you are part of a shared IP connection (school, or another member of the household would access Alacrity either on their own or through your history) never let your computer save your login info! Even if you log out, anyone can get in if they have access to your computer! If you can't remember your login info, you can write it down somewhere no one else can find it (in a book you keep by your desk, text message it to yourself, email it to yourself) - but don't label it as "alacrity login info" or anything. Just a random name and random word/letters/numbers will do. So long as you know what it is, that's all that matters.

Remember, everyone, anything that happens on your account is your responsibility. If someone gets in trouble on your account, that means you got in trouble - and if this leads to an account ban, then you'd really regret ever letting that person account sit (also, I shall note from the ToS, "Ownership of an account is classed as having the login information to that account. This means that activities such as account sitting are prohibited." - so anyone offering account sitting services should be reported)!

Remember, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact staff via the Issue Hub! We have Newbie Helpers, Mods, and Admins available to handle any issues that may arise, be it from simple questions to bugs to problems with other users or items not working. :)

Thank you for your time and attention! I hope you all have a wonderful time playing Alacrity!

At school we use Chromebooks. We use the same Wi-fi network. When my friend logs in to her Ala account, it shows up that she's on Ala on my chromebook. I'm in her account when I get to Ala. When I log in, same thing. Our passwords aren't there, but someone could still obviously hack us.

So, headsup, guys.

I'm too protective of my account stuff to even think of letting somebody breathe my accounts air. XD

Nitrous, I know that, but most people these days have no clue what "cracking" is and thus call it all "hacking" - which is why I used the term, because I needed them (those who don't know the term 'cracking') to know what I was talking about. :)
