Out with the Old, In with the New!

Happy Easter, Alacrites!

After much deliberation, we have decided to retire the old Explore game (for now!), and are replacing it with a Backyard Dig! This game will be available from now on, any time we come up on a holiday, and the theme will change based on that holiday! :D The art was provided by our very talented Xylax. <3

You will get 5 turns per half-hour, which will cost your selected dog 5 energy per turn. Your dog will be digging for easter eggs! But not only that, there's a chance you just might find some other neat prizes, too! And the more easter eggs you find, the better, because with them you'll be able to purchase specialty items from the Easter Shop!

This event will run for one week only (April 7th), so make sure you use as many turns as you can! Any eggs you don't spend will be squirreled away until next year.

But that's not all! During this week, be sure to keep a lookout for the Easter Bunny! He could pop up anywhere, so the more time you spend on Alacrity, the bigger your chances are of finding him! :D

We hope everyone has lots of fun, and enjoys this year's new items as provided by the hard work of our art team!

Yelow Chicks (Rixon)
Bunny Kits (Rixon)
Easter Decoration (Rixon)
Easter Dye (Rixon)
White Hare (Rixon)
Easter Bunny Tail (Carnivale)
Bunny Whiskers (Carnivale)
Pink Bunny Plushy (Nyctra)
Easter Bandana (Nyctra)

I too wish that the old exploring system would come back.

May I suggest, if you don't like using your trial dogs, pick up a dog from the pound and use them for your "Digging".

In my own comments on this, I'm so glad we finally got to release it! I'm really "Digging" this game. hurhurhur

We are currently experiencing a bug with our donations, where people are not receiving their bones or items!

If you decide to donate, please submit an issue to the Admin Hub with proof of your donation, and we will manually give you bones and items!

Our coder, in the meantime, is looking into this, and will hopefully have us all fixed up very soon!

Rick's right, I just LOVE the BC's design, and the Sheltie's is cool too.

They are plenty creative. What were you expecting? Both of these dogs are beautiful and I'm sure the creators worked hard on them to make them beautiful :( I'm sorry but I'm not liking the negative comments on these designs, people worked for these, and they are probably seeing all of these comments. I have hardly seen any positive comments, and I'm starting to feel bad for the artist. I get people have a right to an opinion but really.. I had to say at least something about it.

What I meant, was that they aren't.... creative? They aren't different than what I thought they would be.

Alright, our new poll is up! These two designs got the largest number of votes, and now it's up to all of you to decide once and for all which of them will be our new mascot! :D

Border Collie A
Shetland Sheepdog 1

Thank you to everyone who entered the contest! Voting for this final round will last until the end of this month, and we'll announce the official winner on April 1st! Don't worry, we won't psyche anyone out just for April Fools; this will be a legit announcement!

After that, we'll finally put up a poll to decide on the dog's name based on entries our wonderful users turned in. :D

Personally I think the artists did a great job on the designs. I love the more natural sides of things, and even if they're common in litters who cares? I guess I'm just a lover for mottled dogs' colourations but I don't see the point on being rude. If you have nothing nice to say...don't say anything at all. (how cheesy xD) but still, I voted for the Border collie because...well, I figured it needed more votes - and they were both too lovely to choose from. <3

You know there have been a lot of people saying things about the designs that seem quite rude to me. If you don't like them then don't like them, but there is no need to post a comment saying how "ugly" a design is, somebody designed all of these and I'm sure even if you are not fond of a design you can attempt to be somewhat polite. I find a few of these comments very rude to the designers, and just remember whoever designed these dogs is probably reading these. how would you feel if it was your design being called "ugly"? I personally like the sheltie design best, and even though it's not my breed of choice for the mascot I can see that someone worked hard on these designs and they deserve more polite treatment. I'm sorry if this is not how other people are reading these comments but I have been seeing quite a few rude comments here and I think it needs to be addressed.

I personally thought the mascot should look like the blue merle Aussie (if it is indeed an Aussie) on the default page layout.
