Account Sales

Hello All,
I'm posting this because we have been seeing an increase of players announcing they have bones in their account sales.
Please remember that selling an account for USD when it has bones on it is against rules.
General Rule 7 states in it: If you are selling your account for $USD, you may not have any bones on that account. You must either spend them, give them away, or send them to storage on account #1.
This means that you cannot have bones on your account if you're selling it for USD. Spend them to upgrade the account, give them away before selling the account, do something to get them off the account. This rule has no warning, the first offense is the account being frozen. As Admins, we do not wish to do this with players who could use the money from the sale of the account. However, as this is an important rule of Alacrity, we do have to enforce it.
So please make sure to read over General Rule 7 and our Account Sales Rules before selling! If you're still unclear, please be sure to ask our mods anything about the rules in the Mod Issue Hub! We'll be glad to clear things up for you.

I think there was some confusion because the rule under "The Rules" and the 'rule' in the sticky on the forum were differently worded, since they were written by different people. Hence, no one realized that there was even a difference until someone said something about the post saying something other than what the rules state.

If you feel you were not in violation of *that* part, you may still submit an admin hub report and ask for the issue to be reviewed again, however please do not spread dissent on the topic here in the news post. This is not the place.
