ZJ's Halloween Choose Your Own Adventure
Started By
So, here's my choose your own adventure. It's rough and I'll go fix the errors later if I get around to it. Lots of endings, hopefully you enjoy. :3

::

It's a dark and stormy night, and you awaken to the crack of thunder and a mysterious figure above you. The next flash of lighting illuminates your room, it's only Belphegore, your trusty silver German Shepherd. You breathe, but as you close your eyes, she nudges you with her nose.

Do you:
-Get up. After all, she is your dog. Go to #27
-Tell her that she can poop in the morning, turning over to snuggle into your covers. Go to #12

Number 21
Oh boy, that’s not a Shiba! That’s an Akita! Or maybe a Kishu, you’re not too familiar with the breed. Either way, Cthulhu doesn’t look happy in the least. You regret not watching more dog shows to learn the breeds, and since you need to say something witty before you’re eaten, you wrack your brain for some famous last words. As he tosses you up like popcorn, you scream out “I’m flying Jack! I’m flying!”
FIN

Number 22
A werewolf, you're pretty sure you just saw a werewolf. Well, halfway sure at least, so you check again, waiting for another lightning flash. The storm is taking it's time but eventually, yes! Another flash, and you watch intently, looking for the figure.

Is it:
Really a werewolf! Go to #14
It's a vampire, how could you have not noticed the lack of fur? Go to #33

Number 23
A pixie appears in front of you, pretty and perfect and generally somewhat irritating in that perfection. A wrinkle of her nose shows she’s not a fan of you either. “I have one question,” she asks you, “What is the answer?”

Is it:
-Go to #2
-Go to #42
10-14-2011 at 1:11 AM
Number 24
You solve no problems by running away. In fact, you run right back into the werewolf. The were seems happy to drag you off to it’s den, The Shrieking Shack, where you’re now beset upon by a bunch of melodramatic teenagers with magic and their fight with an old guy with daddy issues.
FIN

Number 25
Just your luck, as you head into the next part of the maze, you fall down a well. Now what are you going to do? The dogs aren’t going to help, better hope The Goonies show up before you trigger a trap.
FIN

Number 26
You shouldn’t have watched Sleepy Hollow when you were seven, causing you to wet the bed for a month, because you’ve left behind a sad looking black unicorn who only wants to be your friend. You make your way towards the farm, maybe there’s someone there that can help you.

Do you:
-Head into the farmhouse? Go to #13
-Take a detour to the garden for an early am snack? Go to #41

10-14-2011 at 1:11 AM
Number 27
You stretch and scratch at your butt as you follow Belphegore out of your room. You love her, but you'd love her more if she'd let you sleep through the night! At least you know what she wants, so you can head back to bed soon, it won't take long.

Do you:
-Follow her down the hallway to the kitchen to get her water and a late night snack for both of you. Go to #7.
-Go to the closet for your coat, she needs to go out. Hopefully you won't get too wet in this storm. Go to #40.

Number 28
You curl up in the hay to sleep, perhaps when you wake up, it will all be just a dream. Instead you wake up to your mother screaming at you for running off in the middle of the night. Looks like it’s military school for you and Belphegore is off to live with your Girlfriend who lives in Canada.
FIN

Number 29
You grab the nearest stake you can find, and well, hopefully even plastic tomato garden stakes work on vampires too, flinging it in the direction of the bloodsucker. There’s no time to wait and see if it works, you just run off, heading out of your yard and into the nearby fields with your trusty dog at your side. The moon is bright after the storm and illuminates the area around you, letting you consider your options as the vampire seems to be dead or at least not bothering with people stupid enough to try a tomato stake.

Do you:
-Go through the fields, after all Field of Dreams ended happily. Go to #15
-Go to the mountains, just like in Sound of Music! Go to #39

10-14-2011 at 1:10 AM
Number 30
The Sphinx nods her head in approval as you choose to stay and use your intelligence. After a considerable dramatic pause for effect, she asks you gravely, “Answer me this: How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?”

Is your answer:
-”A woodchuck would chuck all the wood he could if a woodchuck could chuck, would chuck, wood.” Go to #6
-”African or European?” Go to #37

10-14-2011 at 1:10 AM
Number 31
You hold up the Shiba, closing your eyes and turning your head. If you’re lucky, you will survive, if you’re not lucky, you and your doggy friends will all be killed by the hideous thing before you. After a few minutes, you peek at Cthulhu, gauging his reaction. Is...is?

Is:
-That his eyes softening? Go to #36
-That his eyes softening? Go to #20

10-14-2011 at 1:10 AM
Number 32
The plant looks nauseated at such a suggestion, vomiting up a dentist. You’re not so much a fan of dentists after that root canal, so you suggest to the plant “A spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down” and head off to the barn. Maybe you can find a nice pile of hay to sleep in until morning.

Do you:
-Go up towards the hay loft? Go to #28
-Go to a stall to sleep? Go to #38

10-14-2011 at 1:10 AM
Number 33
A vampire! Oh for all that is evil and fangy, it's a vampire. But could it really be? You thought those were just stories made up because of that one dude who lived in that one place who liked to put heads on sticks. Whatever, like you pay attention in history. But best to make sure it's really a vampire, so you wait for another flash of lightening.

Is it:
-A vampire, fer reals! Go to #9
-A werewolf, well, they're both fangy. Go to #22

10-14-2011 at 1:09 AM
Number 34
Suddenly you tumble your way out of a closet, onto the floor of your bedroom. You’re suddenly 9 years old again, Belphegore a puppy, and life comes rushing back to you. Another world. Narnia. Perhaps you will return again, if you can.
FIN

10-14-2011 at 1:09 AM
Number 35
“Mange? Mange?!!”
As the were bristles and his eyes almost seem to go, you realize that this might be the best time to beat a hasty exit, grabbing Belphegore and running off. A long howl echo’s behind you and you race through neighbor’s backyards, straight into a cornstalk maze, all set up for Halloween. This is good, at least there’s plenty of places to hide in here. Unfortunately, mazes never were your strong suit.

Do you:
-Turn left. Go to #18
-Turn right. Go to #5

10-14-2011 at 1:09 AM
Number 36
YES! It is! As Cthulhu settles down with his adorable friend, snuggling it close, you take off into the night with Belphegore. The rest of the dogs will be safe now that Cthulhu is appeased, you are not taking chances and hanging around though. There’s a pool and waterfall, you find yourself ducking through it with Belphegore, seeing a cave behind it.

Do you:
-Venture through, as the hard rock gives way to soft fur. Go to #38
-Venture through, as the bright light glows. Go to #23

10-14-2011 at 1:09 AM
Number 37
Stumped by her own riddle, the Sphinx implodes, leaving you and Belphegore covered in bits of who knows what. It’s gross, although your dog seems to enjoy gnawing on bits of it, and soon there’s a whole pack of wild dogs there; eating, chewing and playing with the dead bits. There’s more dogs here than you’ve seen in your life, what are you going to do with them?

Do you:
-Strip off your outer clothes, embracing your inner wild and run with them, howling like a wolf! Go to #10
-Yell, “Lassi go home! I don’t need help and I’m not stuck in a....well...maze thing!” Go to #25

10-14-2011 at 1:09 AM
Number 38
You settle down into the stall, finding an odd bottle of green liquid hidden in the hay. It smells odd, but you’re thirsty and soon settle down drinking it, trying to keep Belphegore from stealing a taste. It only after awhile do you realize there’s a bright light coming.

Do you:
-Embrace the bright light. Go to #23
-No, the light, it burns! Go to #19

10-14-2011 at 1:08 AM
Number 39
The hills are not alive with the sound of music, Rodgers and Hammerstein lied to you. Instead they seem to be alive with irradiated mess that is the leftovers of nuclear plants. Unlike your comic brethren, the super power of being able to glow like a 1000 glow in the dark watches is not useful in real life. At least the freak shows are willing to hire you.
FIN

Number 40
Just your luck! When you open the closet door, a portal to another dimension appears! It's rather creepy and green and nothing like what you saw on any TV show. You're too busy watching it that you don't have time to stop Belphegore from jumping through.

Do you:
-Stay here, no way will you be going where the sky isn't blue and down isn't down! Go to #16
-Follow her, or you'll get in trouble! Go to #8
