Whoo! First animation! xD (well technically this is probably my third animation, but it’s the only one that’s got to the actual ‘animated’ part xD) Test Obviously a very rough sketch, but then I only spent around 30 minutes on it (and around another hour trying to work out how to make it work lol). At some point I’ll clean it up and add more too it, but for now I’m happy… even if Blade is suffering from a terrible case of wiggly butt. xD Any critiques? Edit/ Test 1.2 Second part. Added Crysta and smoothed Blade out a bit. Crysta was a lot harder and is a bit more gittery, but I'm hoping that's mostly from where I kept editing her. :/ Next I might actually line! xD

I followed a horse motion frame by frame thingie... maybe it just looks odd because he's walking on the spot?

Hel, Horses don't walk like that either.

Most 4 legged animals walk

Front Right(FR), Back left (BL), FL, BR, Repeat

Camels Giraffs and a few others walk FR, BR, FL, BL...

It's very fluid in movements. The only thing that sticks out besides the wiggly butt is that there seems to be a slight case of wiggly face on Blade as well (watch the face circles and ears).

Crysta is fine, but her movements are a little bland. Also, don't forget too animate the breast movement. When females move their breasts also move a little even if just breathing.

COOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!

Yeah, he's a confusing boy. He's a canine, who walks like a horse. xD I know that may seem a little confusing, but I think that considering his anatomy, he's more likely to move like this.

Ohh, I might try that Clayton, thanks!

I think the front end looks good, the back end looks like the animal is walking very... "light". I think maybe if you were to bend the hocks a bit more, it might get rid of this "light" appearance. It looks like the animal is walking on it's tiptoes.
[I'm assuming it's a canine]

Its really good ;D But, The legs are a little weird, cause Dogs legs work opposite each other, i know Camels walk like how you have portrayed. Sorry if this is confusing xD But i dont think the legs are right..

Oh, I like it. It seems realistic. Good job!!!

I can't tell if the animal is a dog or horse because the joints work and are as thin as dog joints/legs, but the tail and body looks horse-ish.

That looks fantastic.

Very nice :D

05-18-2010 at 5:30 PM
Yeah I think making the whole thing move works a lot better then just the legs. xD It always looks unnatural when people do that. xD
Image ready is just the add on you get with photoshop, usually they come together, though it's mostly usuless as far as I can see.

Lol Scruffy, I'll do my best. =P

I luff it :DD Wiggly butt looks nice xDD

Critique?

Finishing it. We would die if you didn't D:

That's really good =)

IT's 10 frams (was orginally ment to be 12 though xD) and it was drawn in Photoshop CS/animated in ImageReady.

05-17-2010 at 1:48 AM
I really like it! How many frames did you make? Oh, and which site/program did you use to animate it? Just curious :3

05-16-2010 at 10:56 PM
He's an epic boy! XD
Yeah, it's a lot easier just to follow a step by step guide, doing walk cycles on your own just... fail. xD The sliding feet are just too hard. xD

It was only done in ImageReady and I uploaded it though Photobucket (it's a .gif, couldn't work out how to get .SWF to work which might cause me troubles when I try to lengthen it.)

That's really good, Hel. :D

Heh, animating isn't hard actually, all you need is a program which it 'record' it really (and it doen't matter if your shapes become distorted as much either *pokes Blae's misshapen head*)

Heh, I plan to turn it into a music video. ;) Might show you some of the progessiions.. though I need to work out how to link sound first.. >>
