See, what I do is first draw it out on paper, scan it, then go over it in Gimp. It makes the lines less wobbly.

I really like both blue merles and bi-blues, especially when the brown (in merles) and black (in both) is quite bold.
I like certain sables, especially reds and deep-coloured ones/sables with lots of colour dimension.
I'm not crazy about golden sables, bi-blacks or tri-coloureds.
I only have about 2.5k, so unless you would like to go that low, no.
