Of course there was Dr. Carol Marcus but he didn't really stay with her. Just had a son xD And you'll love The next generation. It's really good. My favorite series is DS9. I was wary of it at first but it definitely became my favorite.

Although I don't like how in these new movies it's kind of more of action and adventurey without much of the original Star Trek principal of a better world. But it was still pretty cool.
