Ok. We built the box the plywood and put a new bed in it. She had slept on it before we put it in. The whelping box has a lip on the entrance to when the pups can see and walk they shouldn't be able to get out, she will also never be unattended. Her mother had ate 2 of the pups and we don't want her doing that.

We still have 3-4 weeks till she would whelp. It will be my first litter and hers. I have showed her the whelping box, she will laying in it but doesn't really care for it. It's like a toy she doesn't play with. My bed on the other hand she builds a nest in and will lay in. I plan on having the vet on speed dial (he is 10-15 minutes away) or he said he might just come over and sit with us so we don't have to wait for help if something is off. My only worries are A.) Her giving birth on the carpet. and B.) The size of the puppies. Keyla(the to-be mom) is smaller for a female pit and Remi(the dad) is larger for a male American Boxer. I have seen day old puppies from him and the usually are from your middle finger tip to the heel of you hand.

I lurk around chat, and occasionally pop in if I have something to say :3 I'm on quite a few sites, if you see ItsAZoo, it's me. | Breeding. As of now, I breed GSDs, Catas and Shibas. On my side, I store dogs. I usually sell my puppies for very low prices. That does not mean you can buy them just to resell them. If you are caught doing so, you will be put on my no-sell list. I give away my puppies for free if you ask nicely, and have a good track record with other breeders. I'm not going to give them to you if you have angry scribbles all over your wall. I am a fan of light eyes, and unusual markings, as shown in my kennel. I breed for weird coats, and I love them all. Puppies are put up for sale for a week or two, and then pounded/retired if not bought. Most of my boys are up for stud. I will only accept if your bitch is maxed. My girls aren't up for lease, unless we have discussed something. Stud owners always get 2nd pick of the litter for free. | |||
