Welcome to Alacrity, np_ariel! I'm part of the Newbie Helper team here on Ala and I'm going to help get you started :)
First, make sure to find the time to read the Rules and TOS at the bottom of the page, then, wander to "Help" and watch the Videos there. That section also can answer many of your questions and has links to other pages including the Alacrity Wiki page with more helpful guides.
Any questions you can't find the answer to, you can submit to the Issue Hub, found under "Help Alacrity". Just send it to the "Newbie Helpers" and we'll answer it ASAP!
