Hi, I was under the impression that chocolate bunnies allowed a full heat instead of lasting only a half hour. Oops. So I wasted two chocolate bunnies on Mercy last night, and then logged on today to find that out. I'm sorry if you logged on last night and she wasn't ready for you to accept the stud request. It was my mistake. So I took the time warp off and put on a watch instead. When she comes into a regular heat, I'll let you know... She's at 45 months now, so it shouldn't be too much longer until 48.

Alrighty. I'm on Eastern time, so I'm three hours ahead of Pacific / Alacrity time... I don't know if I'll be around online that late tonight, and Sunday night I go to bed early for work the next day, but... what I'll do is feed her the bunny tonight (probably around 9PM Pacific / Midnight Eastern time) and put a time warp on her to slow aging. Hopefully the breeding will take on the first try, but if not, at least the time warp will give us some more time to try again.

I just wanted to share my excitement. *g* I managed to finish maxing both my customs today and had enough $ saved for a Magical Rubber Ball, so I fixed up both their stats... all before Delilah's first heat. So I'll be able to breed them as soon as she's in heat... I'm so psyched for my first custom puppies!

I didn't realize that about TP being boosted 20% between kennels. That's awesome. In the future I'll remember to place my stud over on my other account when I do a breeding between my own dogs, so as to take advantage of that.

Just curious... Do you know if the Insta-pups item has infinite uses or does it only work once?

I finished my customs (86901, 86902). :D Is it normal that they only have 328 TP, though? And that their stats (sociality, self confidence, attention span) aren't perfect?

Is there any way to make their stats perfect? (I did get an African Wild Dog in a random event that I've since equipped to Nenana to help her with trials - her attention span wasn't perfect.) But do AWDs just help with trialing in that way, or do they also help pass on perfect stats to the pups while equipped to a dog?

On that note, how genetic are the stats? E.g., Will a parent with flighty attention and the other parent with average attention ever produce a pup with focused attention?

Oh, and how does one raise speed and drive on a dog?

So many questions... sorry. heh

I got three muddy gray males and one interesting looking female (86735), but she's covered in tan. :/ What do you think of her? Would she sell well? She's the only one I'd consider keeping really, but I really wish she didn't have the tan. *sigh* I'm guessing this male (86736) might have a better chance at selling, but the other two males may be difficult to see because they're muddy... What do you do with dogs like that?

Due to life changes, I never got another Sibe after Delilah and Sita passed on, but a stray white GSD mix pretty much decided to adopt me, and I've been stuck with her (Kali) for the past 9 years now (I say 'stuck with' lovingly, heh). ;) After she passes, and when my life is more stable, I hope to have Sibes again, as they are my heart breed. :)

Oh that's so awesome that you get to do that. :) I've always dreamed of somehow getting involved with racing Sibes but no, my three girls were just pets... I went to a lot of dog shows back then (late '90s - I was a teen at the time) just for fun and was far more acquainted with show lines and that whole "world", but I love the racing type (and prefer it, in some ways) as well. My first Sibe was bred in Wisconsin and she looked more like the racing type (tall and leggy). I never recognized any racing kennels in the first couple generations of her pedigree, but she ended up tracing back to Monadnock and Of The Midnight Sun dogs a little farther back (7th or 8th gen I think?), which was cool to find out. Sorry, rambling now... heh.

I used to own Siberians IRL so I very much prefer their natural beauty. :) Aside from the glitch colors, it's a bit odd seeing Sibes here with merle coats and so forth too... So I'm also going to try and stay away from those. I like the regular Irish-coated Sibes as well as the agoutis and piebalds more often seen in racing lines. The Sibe line art here is beautiful, btw. The best default Sibe art I've seen on any Sim. :)

Anyhoo, that's a relief knowing that I don't have to breed glitch colors if I don't want to. Thanks!

Ok, that makes sense now. I greatly appreciate the explanation. :) It's something I'd like to avoid with my future lines, as I prefer my Sibes to have more natural colors. I noticed I did buy this male (81131) though whose father is a glitch dog, but he's an ordinary white. Can the glitch colors pass onto his future pups? Does something determine a pup getting a negative/over 100 percentage in its markings, or is it just random?

Oh yes. My current summer project is research on King Arthur and the history of Britons for a possible historical, sci-fi mystery novel. :) I'm slightly obsessed, and have been since my dad read me a children's version of the legends when I was six.
