no I think I covered all the basics. Most current care books are full of information that is not totally true or accurate(because mine isn't published yet)
for chewing I reccomend cardboard, paper towel or toilet paper tubes, empty food boxes or popcases, anything like that, they won't care what else ate out of a bowl as long as it's got their food in it, water should be in a bottle hung on the cage just because a bowl will end up full up bedding and poop
$20 for a piggie and a cage is an awesome price
depending on how they are bred 2-8 yrs the better bred the longer they usually live
piggies should be fed guinea pigs pellets just plain pellets not the stuff with colorful bits, guinea pigs like humans don't produce their own vit C and guinea pig pellets are made with stablized vit c to help make sure they get enough
technically not grey, lilac coloring in guinea pigs looks brownish grey(the tri color on my page is lilac red/orange and white) and craiglist is fine we found our last 2 youngsters on kijiji being sold by their breeder
if you really want to keep a pair I would suggest females as they are easier to get living together, if you have lots of time to spend with your piggie a single will be fine. hay yes, how much and how often is more dependent on cost and what is available(if you have room look for somewhere to buy a farm bale from) alfalfa is fine for babies and pregnant or nursing females everyone else should get timothy or meadow hay, untreated grass and dandelions in the summer make a great change. NO balls or wheels piggies back are not intended to bend back like that and supervised floor time is a better option for them. because they are prey animals they will run when you go to pick them up, we usually aim to gently pin them from the middle of their back and then use 2 hands to pick them up, you do need to hold them firmly especially babies as they can and will jump, once you have them picked up most like close to your body or in the crook of your arm, there are no shots for them, and vet checks aren't really neccessary unless you think something is wrong, a small scale is very helpful since the main sign of illness is weight loss so monitoring weight is a good idea

yes aquariums are very bad, I build my own cages go to www.cavycages.com for an idea of what materials to use
as long as it's not cedar it would be fine, also guinea pigs should not be kept in solid sided cages
well I live in Canada so it may differ, and we have 4 in 2 cages, I buy shavings in the biggest bag I can get which is about $9 and lasts us a little more than a month and pellets run me about $13, we have to give ours bottled water which we pay $5 for a 5 gallon bottle and then veggies they don't get everyday, but I usually buy for them whatever is on sale at the grocery store, parsley is usually a good choice it's high in Vit C and cheap and most of them love it
sure I can share, the biggest thing is they are a lot more social than bunnies and hammies

Well, my suggestion would be to get a humane trap if she's feral. Or try contacting a local rescue cat group in your area so that they can trap her and her kittens after they're born. Or maybe after the kittens are born, see if you can trap them and get them to a local shelter, hopefully a no kill one. It's not kitten season, so hopefully they'll have an easier time getting adopted out. :)
