Better Mute in Flash Games
Started By
The background music in games like Agile Trial and Mahjong have been a pet peeve of mine pretty much since I joined Ala. Agile Trial is especially irritating, because the music starts over every time you play again. I will only send perfect scores in that game, so with the amount of times I replay I pretty much am forced to mute my browser. Mahjong is troublesome because even when you mute the music for one game, the beeping sound every time you click still plays.
I would suggest either making a mute buttom that sticks for as long as you have the game page open (and works on sound effects as well as music), or just disabling the sound altogether. I can't imagine anyone would really miss the music/beeping, though I could always be wrong. ^^ Thoughts?

Oh that's a fantastic idea dogfancy, I didn't think of that!

And Kipchack I know what you mean, I'm often in online chats where I need the sound on to hear when people say something, so I just can't play the games then. And I'd love to play Mahjong while listening to music online, but it's really inconvenient.

Yes please! =)
Maybe have it a profile option that it always mutes the game sounds?

So much support. For a while I thought it was actually a bug that the music came back on when I'd finish a game of Agile Trial. It's especially annoying when I'm listening to music in another tab (especially slower-paced, quiet music) to suddenly hear the Agile Trial theme music.
