Foundie Randomizer
Started By
It's hard to get foundies for a line unless you want to be really slow about it, considering breeds dont show up when you need them or people outbid you or whatever... so I was thinking a new thing that could be implemented (and also drain money!) could be a randomizer.
How it would work:
It's its own separate thing - the foundie auctions could still stay up. You go onto this page and you pick out what you're looking for (breed and whatever else)
You CANNOT choose markings or how they will be laid on or anything. However, you can choose different levels of these foundies.
For example a "basic" would be one marking and would cost 5k per "random generate" click and would cost 25k to actually buy.
A "moderate" (im sure a more fancy word or title could be given) would be 3 markings and would cost 10k per "random generate" click and would cost 50k to actually buy.
and a "advanced" (again, better name could be given) would be 5 markings and would cost 15k per "random generate" click and would cost 100k to actually buy.
All prices could be different, of course :3 and marking numbers and whatnot could also vary.
These dogs are NOT customs - they do not live forever and they have foundie stats.
I know the main issue is going to be "But then user's dogs wont get bought!" -- well, based on the high prices, it's probably someone who really needs new bloodlines for their dogs and won't be buying from another user anyway. The best thing is people can waste money just playing with the generator, so it may help funnel money out while helping to keep line breeding to a minimum.
It could be limited to only certain markings so it doesn't lower the appeal of customs (like bi-eyes and albino wouldnt be in it since they aren't in foundies) and the "rarity" values would still hold true.
We can limit it as well so people can only make 2 a week or something... or upgraded accounts can make two, non-upgraded can only make one.
I think it'd be a fun idea :3 Of course, it's open to opinions but please keep them constructive!

I'm not used with foundies but I support. I'm looking into breeding foundies with High TP dogs when I can't find anymore.

Well foundies need to be worked up from in order to get a TP you would like to use in your lines :) So I don't think the TP needs to be any different, I still think people need to work to up the TP by breeding other foundies and getting up there.

I support! The only thing, is the found stats. I am fine with it not being immortal- But Of O'm paying 100k for a dog with good markings, and for a line to continue, I really prefer not to have a super amazing dog with low low TP, breed with another one of my dogs, and mess up the TP line.

Like my Paps, I NEED new lines, but the founds happen to have FAR to low TP, and I never find Paps.

The one thing I would suggest, even though I kinda know it on't get to far up, if a TP generator as well. With it you can randomize, 3 times, and the TP comes out, th foundie dogs amount, to 1k, or 1.5k, or something. BUT, this can be expensive. So again wasting money out there to help the Ala economy. Maybe even have even higher TP, but not too high, where it messes up the Top Dawg stuff..

That'd be my only concern, support other than that.

Also if its such a big deal for it to be too easy to obtain the prices can always be higher yet :) Then it wont be easy because then you're putting effort into getting the money to buy them - the prices I listed I think are high enough for newer players to work toward but older players to not just easily grab tons of them without putting a dent in their cash.

However, the prices can be adjusted some *shrugs* I think people would waste money randomizing to get markings they like, especially if they were only allowed to "make" 1-2 of these a week, they'd want to get a better one than the first click might give them.

Support!

To often I got to buy foundies of the breed I want and NOPE none there :/

Also I'd like to have a chance to ensure I get at least some markings on the dog, too many of my foundies have no markings :C

This is more expensive than the breeder unless my memory totally fails me, and that's why I suggested a limit - so people dont just buy up tons of these and make the auctions useless.

I've been waiting for a certain breed for a long time and I never seem to see it, or when I finally do, someone outbids me in the last second so my line has been sitting. At least this would give something to work on for a line while waiting for more auctions to pop up :P It could even be a 2 a month limit. I'm certainly not suggesting that you can make a limitless amount that makes it effortless.

And also the auction was implemented a long time ago -- the user base has grown a lot since then and honestly I don't think a 5 dog auction every 6 hours matches the current amount of players.

No support. The auctions were made so that getting foundies would mean a little more effort but to buy just like that. This would eliminate the effort again and making it a simple click like before wit the breeder. And the breeder was already expensive.
