I ran quietly, my ears flicked forward as I listened to my breathing and the breathing of the team behind me as I lead the way through the new blanket of snow. I breathed in the cold air as my eyes scanned the barren land ahead of me for any sign of danger. I then turned my gaze back ahead of me as I heard the river and came to a stop at the edge and looked at the ice that hid the black waters of the river. I let out a whine as I sensed that the ice was not yet strong enough for the team to cross and I backed up some until I heard my owner command me to cross. I looked at the river and then held my breath as I started to cross, the ice groaning beneath my feet. The sudden cracking sound found me leaping for the other side but then the ice gave way behind, dragging everyone in except me as I tried to stay on the ice until I too fell in the black water.
I woke up a few minutes later on the snow covered ground, seeing the rest of the team and then spotting my owner laying in the snow. Dead. I let out a whine as I rolled onto my stomach and got to my feet and then I heard the long silent howl of my close reatives. Wolves.

Plot
Dakota and the rest of the team of Hukies and Malamutes are now on their own after the ice gave way beneath them while crossing a river. Their human didn't survive and now they face the wild by themselves. The wild wolves don't know of the huskies yet but when they do meet will the wolves attack or try to help their close relatives and help them adapt to the wild?

Looks
Dakota is a large female. She has large lungs that enables her to run for hours without tiring. She can run fast and she can fight just as good as any other husky on the team. She was the lead dog of the team showing great leadership and will care for any dog and will protect anyone for as long as she can, making her a great leader.
Her coat is dark russet in color that ends at the end of her tail and at the base of her nose with a little bit of orange mixed in as well. She has a white underside and lower muzzle. Her eyes are a dark hazel color with honey colored flecks mixed in them as well.
