(You can start) "How is our guest?" Phenomenon asked. "He's coping. Had Austin not found him he might have died." Laylie said. Phenomenon nodded.

Shortly after, his breathing slowed and softened to the rhythmical regularity of any creature. His hearing had returned enough for him to hear any words said, but that hearing was only met with silence.

He felt the bullet slide out of the wound and roll to the floor with a small thump. (That's the self healing part.)

Laylie gently took the wolf off Austin's back and began treating him. Austin backed outside and went to wash the bloodstain off his back.

He heard the voices, but it was obvious that his hearing suffered as well for the voices weren't discernible.

The group arrived a few short minutes later, every member of the pack focused on the new wolf. "He needs help." Austin explained. "Bring him to our den." Laylie said. Austin obeyed and followed Laylie into the den.

He felt the movement, but not knowing what had him and being unable to see it made him a little scared.

"We have to get this guy back to the others." Austin muttered loud enough for his comrades to hear. "Get him on my back." Stark and Fly gently lifted the wolf across Austin's back. "Let's go." Austin said and immidiately headed back with Fly and Stark behind him.

He was still breathing hard and irregular. His vision returned, but only enough for a spec of light to appear in a lone dot.

The trio of wolves kept following the trail until they reached a black wolf on the ground. "Is he okay?" Fly whispered to Austin. "I'm not sure but I'm getting a closer look. You two stay here." Austin ordered before approaching the loner.

After a hundred more paces, his legs gave out, and he toppled to the ground only to slide a few feet before coming to a complete stop. His vision blurred further until he saw only black. He knew that he could go no further. His entire body felt dead as a nail, yet he heard every sound for the next number of minutes.

"What do you think it is Austin?" Stark panted. "Not sure but whoever or whatever it is, it's hurt and by the looks of it pretty bad." Austin replied.

His pace lessened, and his vision grayed along its edges. He could feel weakness creeping on him. His body cried for the rest he has only refused it.

Austin took a sniff of the the air. "Blood." He told his group. "Joise, Gabby head back to camp. Stark, Fly stick with me. We're going to find whatever this is." "Aye-aye!" Josie said and broke into a run with Gabby on her heels. Austin watched his sisters take off before leading Fly and Stark.

He could feel that the limb only made things worse. The pained portion of his body felt larger in length.
