Puppy Art Change?
Started By
This is where people can give REASONS as to why they picked what they did.
I put this here since I know people will debate about this sooner or later.
My opinion:
Keep the art. Why? It's perfectly good artwork. I absolutely ADORE the border art and I know that a lot of people bought borders becuase of the puppy art. There is still a few dogs that need art done, so why not have xy do those? Don't remve the perfectly good art.
The shelties are awesome, yes, but every breed has their own touch of "amazing." The corgis have that smile, the paps have the "freedom" and the JRTs have that trouble maker face. So why get rid of them?
As I said this is here for you to give REASONS!
Do NOT bash anyone becuase they chose something differently. This is not a thread made to insult anyone, artist, admin, or member. So please do not take it that way.

I think that the main priority should be to finish the puppy images for the dogs who don't have them yet. I personally don't have an issue with Carni's images already available, and if they decide to redo them, then at least have all the more important artwork like the other puppy images finished first.

Only thing I'd really like changed are the BC pups, as real BC pups look a lot more fluffy.

And the grown aussies of course but that's not going to happen.

I definitely think we should do puppy images for all the puppy-less breeds before any older puppies get changed.

And actually, I really like Inno's idea - it would be nice to know what we're switching to before making the final decision. However, I think that's ultimately too much work to make Xy do if we're not going to use the new puppies. Perhaps a compromise would be see Xy's sketches/a base and then vote?

I voted for the puppies to stay because there's ultimately nothing wrong with those images, and neither artwork will make everyone happy. I think it's worse to change an image that some people love than it is to never offer one others might love.

I love seeing a menagerie of artists' work used on a site (ex. Dragon Cave) and having two different people do the puppies would look cool to me. Besides, what's already there looks awesome as it is

I love the originals and think we should keep them.

You know what.

I want to see Xy's versions of the already done puppies and then vote whether or not to keep Carni's current image or switch it in for Xy's redo.

Nothing more to it.

I think Xy should do it all over again so we don't look lazy and all of the puppy images match. Xy's style and Carni's style aren't at all the same. Frankly I don't see a problem with him not doing it all over again.
