In the large, spacious mountain state of Colorado, is a rather large city. It's outskirts are mountains and trees, wildlife aplenty. This town also have one interesting part about it. It is known for it's strays. Many, many stray dogs, mutts and discarded purebreds alike, roam the streets, free from the leashes of humans. The town is bustling; people walk among the streets, smiling and laughing, and visiting the shops among the sidewalk. In the alleyways however, the dogs roam, waiting for the cover of night to rush out and take food from trash bins, wander the streets with friends or pack members, and make new friends. But, an ominous cloud hangs over the city. Many strays are starting to disappear, almost magically gone overnight, as if they were whisked away under the dark of night. The humans think nothing of it, each assuming there has been a clean up act to get the dogs into pounds and off of the streets. Until the strays return, and attack people and dogs alike. They're been described as dirty, dull coated dogs, with matted unclean fur, and strange eyes, the color of midnight. Now, the people have left the streets, hiding in their homes, only to come out in groups, to take what they need from shops, or to take the chance of getting to their cars to leave the town. Splashes of blood spatter the concrete of roads and sidewalks and back alleys, and droplets of scarlet cling to glass storefronts and doors. The dogs who survived, the smart dogs, hide the furthest back from the roads as possible, tucked far away in the darkness of an abandoned alley. Few packs remain, the majority of them declining swiftly, or gone altogether. The dogs attacked and not killed become like those who are infected, as the remaining, sane dogs call it. Humans are killed for sport, seen as practice for the infected. Though, some dogs seem to not be effected by the virus. Stories get out that only a handful of dogs can be bit by an infected and not contract the virus, no matter how many times they are bitten. It's been said they smell just a bit different from the dogs able to be infected, but are otherwise the same. When these dogs band together, forming their own group to stand against the infected, they also recruit those still sane, able to become an infected or not. ~Hello! Thank you so much for taking an interest in my rp! It was a prompt I have been developing, based on a sort of zombie- apocalypse thing, but with dogs being the main characters. I do hope to start a story soon on it, but I'd like to start an rp, and give people a chance to make characters for it, and make some of the story as well. The dogs who are infected are not exactly like zombies, as they can still talk and know whats going on. But, they have lost their sense of right and wrong, and follow their leader in attacking dogs and humans. Below is the form, and rules to go with it.

Some Quick Rules, before you apply:

.All Advanced Roleplay, and Alacrity rules are to be followed at all times. This roleplay is not in the 18+ section, and I will not tolerate things not appropriate for people under the age of 18. You will be evicted from the roleplay, and reported to staff if you do mention anything of such nature. This also pertains to Alacrity's chat rules.

.Any players wishing to play a dog unable to be infected must also play an infected dog

.The most amount of dogs you can have as active characters is two

.Romantic Interests are allowed, but be reminded this is not a love story. These dogs are fighting to survive.

.Please no 'sparkle' characters. That means no un-naturally colored dogs.

.Only use dogs from your own personal kennel as characters in this role-play

.Think of the situation these dogs are in. Only write things within reason. These dogs are again, fighting to survive. They don't magically find bountiful amounts of food, or win a battle with one hit, or randomly walk the streets like nothing is wrong. They have to search for food in the dark, and find scraps, maybe occasionally something larger. They have to take down infected dogs in large groups, as the savage creatures are hard to kill. They hide in back alleys, trying to stay as quiet as possible.

. I will first ask you, when I develop the story, if you'd like your character to become a part of it. You must be active in the rp though to be eligible for a spot in the characters of the book.

. Please tell me if you're going on vacation. I will be taking anyone who is not active for two months out of the rp.

.All drama will not be allowed here. If it is an argument between dogs in character, ok. But, please leave your arguments with other players out of this role-play. If you have a problem with someone, please talk to me, and I will try to smooth out the situation. Please keep in mind I will not be kicking anyone from the roleplay just because you have a problem with them, but I will certainly try to help with that problem.
