Santa Paws: 4 Days Left -- Entire Choco Cake!
Started By
Santa Paws his holding daily drawings for special items up until Christmas! These drawings will be posted each day both here, in the news, as well as in Mini Updates/Admin Updates, at some point before midnight. There is one prize per drawing and it's completely up to chance (haha, NOT the companion!) to choose the winner. The rules are simple and they are straightforward, but they are not to be trifled with.
Read the Rules!:
1.) Post ONCE in this thread before Midnight Ala time, on the day the thread is posted in order to be entered into the drawing. (If you post more than once, you may be disqualified from the running)
2.) You may post once per account.
3.) Players found creating more than the 2 allowed accounts to enter these contests will be BANNED from Alacrity; no exceptions. Don't do it -- we hate banning people.
4.) All Alacrity standard rules still apply! If you're not familiar with them, please take some time to do so -- you can find the link at the bottom of every page!
5.) We don't care what your post says, provided you follow the above rules, although Santa Paws is also picking a secondary winner based on criteria listed at the end of this post :)
This drawing will be for: an Entire Ultra Fancy Chocolate Cake!
The winner will receive an Entire Ultra Fancy Chocolate Cake, which has five uses and gives the dog you feed a piece to -10 Hunger, +50 Energy, +5 speed, and +5 drive!!
P.S. Santa Paws told me he'll pull this round's second winner based on the best gift you ever received and why. We want to hear about the coolest thing you ever had gifted to you, but more importantly, WHY it was so special to you. It's the "why" that counts for this one :D

I'd say my best gift ever would have to be my beautiful half Germain Shepherd half Canadian wolf Tilly. I got her last Christmas and I begged my parents for her so much they gave her to me 2 weeks early. I remember the night perfectly me and my best friend went to the movies Sunday night after church then they dropped me off and I went inside. My mom said someone is waiting for you and she came running up to me with a big green bow on her. I was so excited I dropped everything and ran and picked her up, and she started licking my face. Then I stayed up till 11 playing with her and had to wake up early for practice the next morning and was dead weight on my feet. The funniest thing was all my friends on my travel softball team knew and they kept on saying I'm gonna get her before you. She was the best Christmas present ever!

my best christmas present was a katana (sword) my parents got me a few years ago. not just because it was completely awesome, but because it also meant that my parents trusted me enough to get it for me.

I actually got BOTH of my current dogs as Christmas presents on different years, so I'm going with them. =) We rescued Luna from a kill-shelter and man is she "special". xD Oh, and Elcie... oh man, the best darn dog that's ever existed. o_o I swear, she's almost human. She's my cardigan corgi, Luna is a sheepdog/retriever mix. :3

The best gift I've ever received was a book of dog breeds. I never realized that there were like, hundreds of breeds.

I opened my present, and had to shake my head to grasp the concept of recieving such a wonderful prize.<br /> <br /> I opened the box and gingerly turned my new beautiful telescope. It was red (my 2nd favorite color) and sturdy.<br /> <br /> I aimed to be an Astronomer as a career. But my living location has some air pollution, so I can view the stars only on a good night.<br /> <br /> I leapt up and thanked everybody. That night we went to the top of the big hill in a nearby park. I learned how to use my telescope, and we found 3 planets, the moon, and a lot of planes.

The best gift I have ever received is my stuffed pikachu toy. My best friend had saved up over fifty bucks to buy a little something for herself, and I was going to use my money to buy myself a little something as well. But I remembered all of the girls that gave their besties, and the way they were so happy made me want to do that to my friend. I went to the store a week before christmas to buy her gift, but all of the smaller makeup sets were gone. All there was, was a giant makeup pallet the size of a plate. So I reluctantly bought it for her, and had it wrapped up. I gave it to her three days before christmas, and we both waved goodbye. On Christmas day, it snowed heavily. Most of the roads were closed, and all of the sidewalks were icy. But when I heard the doorbell ring, I opened the door, and saw my friend's face! She gave me a very large box, with a huge bow on it. I opened it right there, and screamed with joy when I found a huge pikachu plushie. The price tag was still and there, and it cost three times more than my gift at least. We both hugged eachother and had a sleepover that night.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> (Sorry, I don't want to mention my friend's name :p )

My most precious gift was my dog, Ivy, we got her from my mom's friend, they found her hiding under the bush shivering and aching with loneliness so they decided to take her in, and that's how I got my first dog and late B-day present. P.S I got her in Halloween :)

It was Christmas 2006. I'd been asking for a dog for what seemed like ages. Under the tree was a small envelope with $100 in it for me and a card with a pug on it. My parents knew I had my heart set on a pug - we'd already gone and visited a breeder with puppies.<br /> <br /> The gift? No, I didn't get a little puppy that morning. I was given the gift of permission to get a dog, the gift of money to help pay for her, and the gift of knowing that when I got my pug, I had worked hard to pay for the other $250 dollars - a large sum for an 8 year old girl.<br /> <br /> I got Angel in early January. I remember that day like it was yesterday, and it seems unreal that Angel is now 5 years old. She's been my best friend for those 5 years, and even in the moment of doubt, when it seemed she'd never be potty trained and I'd be cleaning our house all her life, she was there wagging her curly tail and looking at me like "Aren't I cute?"<br /> <br /> She was with me all the way, always trying to please me. She went through years of 4H training with methods and expectations that weren't always the best, training with a training collar - a "choke chain", although I hate that name - and then later, and now, she's still trying to understand that she has to sit straight after years of "in the general vicinity" being accepted in 4H.<br /> She's also gone with me as we journeyed into the Agility world and learned that if she had a perfect handler, she'd almost always Q.<br /> We've done Rally, winning High In Trials against adults much more experienced than we are.<br /> We've been to nationals in Agility, Obedience, and/or Rally 5 times in TDAA and UKC, won State Fair twice and got 2nd once, and we are currently in the UKC Total Junior Rankings in all three, plus the All Star Rankings (this includes adults all over America) in Rally.<br /> <br /> But through it all, the ribbons, rosettes, trophies, silver and gold plates, medals, and whatever else we've gotten over the last 3 1/2 years of showing are nothing compared to the life-long lessons I've learned, friendships I've made, and the good days - and bad - that I'll never forget.<br /> <br /> Christmas 2006 I didn't get my pug - she came the next month, but I got a door opened up to a whole new world, bringing out the best in me and showing me who I really am and - when I look at me ever-faithful dog - who I want to be. I stepped through that door that Christmas, and I'll never go back. It's the best gift I've ever gotten.

My best present ever was my giant stuffed snake :D I got him when I was really young and I still have him on my bed. His name is Snakey. I had seen him at the zoo gift shop once and wanted him so bad, and when I found him under the tree on Christmas I was so happy :)

Well, The best preseant I've ever gotten is very speical to me. We did a Sercet Santa among friends and when the day came, it was amazing. I have a current obbsession with scarfs (and dogs XD) and when I pulled out this amazing purple (various shades), grey, and white zig-zag scarf, I wanted to cry out with joy. In fact, I'm wearing it now. I was speechless beyond belief! A scarf! I know it sounds silly, but I treasure it until this day! :)
