Santa Paws: 4 Days Left -- Entire Choco Cake!
Started By
Santa Paws his holding daily drawings for special items up until Christmas! These drawings will be posted each day both here, in the news, as well as in Mini Updates/Admin Updates, at some point before midnight. There is one prize per drawing and it's completely up to chance (haha, NOT the companion!) to choose the winner. The rules are simple and they are straightforward, but they are not to be trifled with.
Read the Rules!:
1.) Post ONCE in this thread before Midnight Ala time, on the day the thread is posted in order to be entered into the drawing. (If you post more than once, you may be disqualified from the running)
2.) You may post once per account.
3.) Players found creating more than the 2 allowed accounts to enter these contests will be BANNED from Alacrity; no exceptions. Don't do it -- we hate banning people.
4.) All Alacrity standard rules still apply! If you're not familiar with them, please take some time to do so -- you can find the link at the bottom of every page!
5.) We don't care what your post says, provided you follow the above rules, although Santa Paws is also picking a secondary winner based on criteria listed at the end of this post :)
This drawing will be for: an Entire Ultra Fancy Chocolate Cake!
The winner will receive an Entire Ultra Fancy Chocolate Cake, which has five uses and gives the dog you feed a piece to -10 Hunger, +50 Energy, +5 speed, and +5 drive!!
P.S. Santa Paws told me he'll pull this round's second winner based on the best gift you ever received and why. We want to hear about the coolest thing you ever had gifted to you, but more importantly, WHY it was so special to you. It's the "why" that counts for this one :D

Thebest present I ever got would be my laptop. It was the first time in my life you wanted one soul gift. I started wanting it around march 2010. I skipped both my birthday party and only got a small birthday gift just to up my chance if getting one. It was around the time I found alacrity I started begging for it early. I did all my chores and it tool days as I grew inpatient. Finally on christmas I saw a bunch f gifts to me. At first I thought she spent all the money on other things before I opened the first gift. It was a really nice computer case and stickers to go on a computer keyboard. I slowly began picking my way through gifts, wireless mouse, charger, even a phone before I reached te last gift. I knew it had to be the computer. I tore it open and I was literally screaming until my mom yelled at me saying I would wake up the entire neighborhood. I actually think I even cried.

J keep special care of my computer since my dad died. I acted like it was the thing he used most for the Christmas I got the laptop I wanted or a year was certainy the last Christmas with him.

My best gift ? Does today count ? :p

My class was holding a raffle today, and there was this little wooden box with a snowmen on it. My friend wanted it, and I 'wanted' it (I mostly wanted to win it so I can give it to her). So I put my raffle tickets in for it.
Turns out I did win it. I gave it so her, and she was happy. :> I was happy too because I have given a gift~

<3

The best gift I ever received...well I'm not sure if it quite counts as a gift in the strictest sense of the word, but last year we had a very harsh winter with record low temperatures and my dad lost his job around the same time. We'd been low on money for a while, but now it was getting a little desperate. Thankfully, one of my mom's friends works with organizations that donate food and clothes to people who need them, and was able to pull some canned food and winter coats for us. So yeah, a little cheesy, but the donations we got made a world of difference.

Entering.. Have not ever had a dog, though for me hands down that would be absolutely best (dog addiction here) but my absolutely best holiday gift was last Chanuka my Uncle gifted me with my iPad.

The reason it's the best gift ever is I can use it lying down if don't feel good, bring on appointments, read books magazines, stay connected email wise, sky's the limit. Before had desktop but had to sit at desk to use it. Easier to share pictures and things with family.

I don't have any Christmas gift that was that memorable as being the best, they were all pretty great. Instead I'll just say a gift I got for my mom =). We have a dog that is pretty much her dog and she spoils her like crazy. I took a photograph of the dog (Baily) and turned it into a painting. I bought the board at our school shop (along with matboard) and used leftover art supplies from my courses. I went and got a frame and took the board to Kinkos where they made a copy of it that I could frame. I couldn't wait for Christmas to give it. When my mom opened it she cried. I guess she was just touched that I spent hours and hours to give a personal gift. It's now hanging in our hall. When my grandma came over later and saw it, she guessed that my mom cried over it.

Anyways, this is the painting

For my best gift, I have to go back 22 years.

That was when I got my sweet quarter horse.

He was scrawny, wormy, sick with pneumonia, but I was thrilled to have him.

See he was bound for the slaughter house.

Who does that with a 5 month old foal?

I had my pick of horses, but chose to come home with him that day.

He will be 23 this spring, and always has his forever home with me.

He can no longer be ridden much due to an old tendon injury, but he is a gift to me every day.

Every time I look at him I am reminded of the hundreds of horses who aren't so lucky. He was not the only lucky one that day, I was.

My best gift ever... well, the best gift I think I am ever going to get is time with my family. What's better than spending a day with your loved ones, especially Grandparents? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

My best Christmas present ever was not a dog, like just about everyone else, but my dad letting our kitten, Frank, live inside. We had had Frankie for about 2 months, and we brought him inside every day when my dad was at work. We all loved him and my mom asked if he could live inside, and that could be her present. We had a sort of trial week, to see if dad liked it, and at the end of the week, he decided Frankie could live inside! He's a fat boy now, because it's warm inside and he doesn't burn fat trying to stay warm outside.
We love old Frank Blue Eyes, our blue-eyed ragdoll boy :)

The best gift I got ever was my adorable Golden Retriever,Izzy. I got a square package with a scroll on it...I read the scroll: 'You may have one dog of your choice!' (or something like that,I don't remember exactly.)And it was decorated with cute puppy stickers. I was so happy and excited! I opened the package to find two books about dog care/breeds. A few months later,we brought our new adorable 8-week-old pup home with us and she has been our trusted and loved companion ever since :)
