Started By
Santa Paws his holding daily drawings for special items up until Christmas! These drawings will be posted each day both here, in the news, as well as in Mini Updates/Admin Updates, at some point before midnight. There is one prize per drawing and it's completely up to chance (haha, NOT the companion!) to choose the winner. The rules are simple and they are straightforward, but they are not to be trifled with.

Read the Rules!:
1.) Post ONCE in this thread before Midnight Ala time, on the day the thread is posted in order to be entered into the drawing. (If you post more than once, you may be disqualified from the running)
2.) You may post once per account.
3.) Players found creating more than the 2 allowed accounts to enter these contests will be BANNED from Alacrity; no exceptions. Don't do it -- we hate banning people.
4.) All Alacrity standard rules still apply! If you're not familiar with them, please take some time to do so -- you can find the link at the bottom of every page!
5.) We don't care what your post says, provided you follow the above rules, although Santa Paws is also picking a secondary winner based on criteria listed at the end of this post :)

This drawing will be for: a December 2011 Monthly Ultimate Bag!

The winner will receive a December 2011 Monthly Ultimate Bag, which contains an assortment of this month's monthly shop items!!

P.S. Santa Paws told me he'll pull this round's second winner based on strangest holiday story. Unexpected things always seem to happen when they shouldn't and holidays are no exception! Post your strange holiday story for a chance to win! :D

On one of my Christmas's I had gotten an ear infection. We ended up spending Christmas at the hospital until 4 AM. I guess I fell asleep and I kicked the doctor xD...we celebrated the next morning, :) <br /> <br /> It isn't that weird but all I can think of right now.

Well... last year, on New Years Eve, everyone was over at my grandparents house. My grandfather was had cancer and had been in bed for months. Well, that night... minutes after all 6 of his daughters were over his house, one of them came out and said "he's stopped breathing." well, his wish was to see the new year and he did... and he died with all of his family around him too. But that's not it. As we were driving home, I woke from a nap and stared out the front... and it took no more than a few moments for a shooting star to streak across the sky, right where the line of trees broke and we could see it. I know that this sad, but would you not say it was strange too?

I don't know about strange, but this one's a pretty silly story.<br /> <br /> To start off with, you have to know that my roommate, Selene, hates beans. With a fiery passion. She can't eat anything they've been in, and the smell of them make her feel sick.<br /> <br /> Well, one year, my boyfriend did not know what to get Selene for Christmas, so he decided to give her money. However, he wanted to do it in a fun, silly way. SO, he went to the bank and got $20 in small change. Some quarters, but mostly nickels, dimes and pennies. It was SO HEAVY! Then, he bought several cans of baked beans. When nobody was around, he emptied all the beans out and washed the cans very carefully, so not even the smell of beans was left. He took the lids off with one of those can-openers that leaves the lids as a separate sort of cap, rather than the type that leaves a sharp disc of lid. Then, he filled the bean cans with coins and re-sealed the lids.<br /> <br /> Imagine Selene's surprise and dismay when, on Christmas Day, she opened the big, heavy package only to find three cans of beans! My boyfriend had packed them really carefully so the coins didn't even rattle. He had to explain to her to take the lids off because she actually thought she'd gotten beans for Christmas! Once they were open, everybody had a great laugh, and Selene, who likes sorting things, had a fun time rolling all the coins and taking them back to the bank for a $20 bill. It was really funny, and more than a bit strange-seeming as a gift at first!

Alright. I shall enter this one only because I find my family odd and funny a good portion of the time.<br /> <br /> This was a few years ago at Christmas at my Grandmother's house and I should have you know that my whole family has issues with talking sometimes. We had all eaten our meal and were relaxing. The guys in the living room watching football and the girls washing dishes and playing games. I had previously given my grandma a pack of cards I bought on a trip to NY. The cards all read "I &lt;3 NY" on the back. My cousin and I were just sitting playing a game of Spit as we usually do and my grandma walks over, and asks the strangest question. <br /> <br /> "Where did you get those cards?" <br /> <br /> All I could do was laugh and say in a sarcastic way. "Well, New York of course."<br /> <br /> Not that, that was the funnest moment. I will mention again that my family struggles speaking. We had all gone out to the living room and were opening presents when my Uncle said one thing that got us all laughing, "Does anyone have some gubblebum." Of course meaning to say bubble gum. He had somehow managed to jumble up the word and make it something we all laugh about till this day. <br /> <br /> We've all messed up words many times. Like my mom said "Those rocks are real soe tubbers" instead of "Those rocks are real toe stubbers." Or my sister saying. "Talker Wexas Ranger" instead of "Walker Texas Ranger."<br /> <br /> Anyways. I thought I would share something about my crazy family. :)
