Santa Paws: 7 Days Left -- Three Month Upgrade!
Started By
7 days of Christmas!

Santa Paws his holding daily drawings for special items up until Christmas! These drawings will be posted each day both here in Mini Updates/Admin Updates. There is one prize per drawing and it's completely up to chance (haha, no, NOT the companion!) to choose the winner. The rules are simple and they are straightforward, but they are not to be trifled with.

Read the Rules!:
1.) Post ONCE in this thread before Midnight Ala time, on the day the thread is posted in order to be entered into the drawing. (If you post more than once, you may be disqualified from the running)
2.) You may post once per account.
3.) Players found creating more than the 2 allowed accounts to enter these contests will be BANNED from Alacrity; no exceptions. Don't do it -- we hate banning people.
4.) All Alacrity standard rules still apply! If you're not familiar with them, please take some time to do so -- you can find the link at the bottom of every page!
5.) We don't care what your post says, provided you follow the above rules (and it seems that perhaps the post containing the most interesting fact about Christmas may be worth something, too.)

This drawing will be for: A Three Month Upgrade!

The winner will receive a three month upgrade, have three months added to their existing upgrade, or, if they are forever upgraded, will receive an item of comperable value :D

Most of Santa’s reindeer have male-sounding names, such as Blitzer, Comet, and Cupid. However, male reindeers shed their antlers around Christmas, so the reindeer pulling Santa’s sleigh are likely not male, but female

In New Amsterdam, St. Nicolas is thin and he originally served as the bishop of Turkey. He lives in Spain instead of the North Pole. He uses a boat to get around then transfers to a white horse on land. The event is televised and large crowds gather to greet him. He generally docks in late November. He usually travels with 6 to 8 Black Men instead of Elves.

here's and interesting factoid:<br /> The legendary Christmas pudding is actually an off shoot of the Celtic dish frumenty. The strangeness of the pudding is inspired by the myth that surrounds it. Supposedly people believed it was unlucky to cut a Christmas cake before Christmas Eve. But, the pudding wasn't the only thing that was guarded by a long-standing myth. Mince pie was said to be unlucky if cut with a knife, additionally it was considered to encourage bad luck when eaten outside of the period between Christmas Eve and Twelfth Night. The great thing about Mince pie however, is that it somehow had the magical power to give you good luck if you ate one every day for the twelve days of Christmas.
