Santa Paws: 4 Days Left -- Entire Choco Cake!
Started By
Santa Paws his holding daily drawings for special items up until Christmas! These drawings will be posted each day both here, in the news, as well as in Mini Updates/Admin Updates, at some point before midnight. There is one prize per drawing and it's completely up to chance (haha, NOT the companion!) to choose the winner. The rules are simple and they are straightforward, but they are not to be trifled with.

Read the Rules!:
1.) Post ONCE in this thread before Midnight Ala time, on the day the thread is posted in order to be entered into the drawing. (If you post more than once, you may be disqualified from the running)
2.) You may post once per account.
3.) Players found creating more than the 2 allowed accounts to enter these contests will be BANNED from Alacrity; no exceptions. Don't do it -- we hate banning people.
4.) All Alacrity standard rules still apply! If you're not familiar with them, please take some time to do so -- you can find the link at the bottom of every page!
5.) We don't care what your post says, provided you follow the above rules, although Santa Paws is also picking a secondary winner based on criteria listed at the end of this post :)

This drawing will be for: an Entire Ultra Fancy Chocolate Cake!

The winner will receive an Entire Ultra Fancy Chocolate Cake, which has five uses and gives the dog you feed a piece to -10 Hunger, +50 Energy, +5 speed, and +5 drive!!

P.S. Santa Paws told me he'll pull this round's second winner based on the best gift you ever received and why. We want to hear about the coolest thing you ever had gifted to you, but more importantly, WHY it was so special to you. It's the "why" that counts for this one :D

I can't say I have gotten a super memorable gift, but I do remember when I was younger (even until I was 13) I kept recieving christmas dresses from my family. And not just one relative would give me a dress but multiple. I had so many christmas dresses it wasn't even funny Dx

My most treasured gift ever was the book Winter Of Fire, given to me by my English teacher at the time as a Christmas gift. Not everyone in the class got a gift - she only gave away books, so she only gave them to people she thought would enjoy one of the particular books she had.<br /> <br /> The book is about a girl who lives in a world so ruined by pollution and smog that there is a constant winter, and coal is a precious commodity for the people would die without it. She is of the slave caste forced to mine for coal, and dearly worships the Firelord, the man of the upper class who divines for new coal mines. She is chosen to be his new apprentice, and has to deal with all the social problems of being of a despised underclass, as well as being a woman in a strongly patriarchal society. My teacher gave it to me with an inscription on the inside of the cover that urged me to find inspiration in the book and to keep working to be as strong as the main character. I've always held that book to heart and it has, indeed, inspired me through some extremely rough times to keep going no matter what, even if the only reason you have left is just to prove to the world you can survive.

The best gift I ever got was a Rat King ornament from "The Nutcracker." It is so special to me because it was the week before Christmas, as an early Christmas present, that I got it. My grandma and mom had taken me to see "The Nutcraker" and after they performance, they let me choose a souvineer ornament. My grandma suggest a sugerplum princess ornament; my mom, a nutcracker. However, being the tomboyish little girl I was, I said, "No! I want the RAT!"<br /> <br /> This gift is so special to me because it reminds me of my spunky young self and of course, of my mom and grandma.

I think the best gift I ever received was my Pandora bracelet that my godmother gave to me before she passed away of cancer. Generally speaking I don't like jewelry and don't have a lot of interest in wearable items that are expensive but she has been gone now for a couple years and I wear my bracelet every single day. I think I will still be wearing it when I'm 90. I can't really explain what makes it so special to me except that it reminds me daily of the greatest person in the whole world and keeps her close to my heart.

My best present has to be my turtle. He wasn't a christmas present, he was actually for my 7th birthday. He was given to me by a very close friend, who was an adult. He had to get rid of the turtle, so he gave it to me. The next year, he died in a fatal accident at a busy intersection, and we found out a month later (my parents were working as seasonal workers in Alaska). I adore my turtle to this day because he reminds me of all of the awesome times me and mike had together, and how awesome mike was. Mike was a amazing, inspirational person who never gave up, and was fearless. I secretly think he was part wolf. A little bit of Mike lives on in my turtle, and I take care of that little bit, letting it grow and grow. Mike might be gone, but the legacy of his life, intelligence and love for animals lives on in us (not to mention his stubbornness!).

One of my favorite gifts came from my husband before we had been married a full year. He came home late from work and asked to put the lid of his lunch box away in the freezer. I had my hands in the sink so I said I would get to it in a minute, He asked that I do it right away. So I dried my hands and took the lid off and found baby rat in his lunch box. I knew how much giving me the surprise meant to him that he would put a live rat in his lunch box. I kept that rat for a little over 4 years. He was a great pet.

The best gift I ever got was from my deceased mother. Mom would buy me jewelry with roses on it. Or that looked like roses. A few weeks after she passed away I was cleaning her place and found a gift wrapped box with my name on it. When I opened it I found a new silver and enamel rose broach. I love to wear it because I know that even that close to the end my mother saw it and got it for me.

The best gift I was ever given was from my grandmother from the Netherlands. The gift was transitional wooden shoes. I had lived almost my entire life in America and the reason why those wooden shoes are so special is because they are part of my family heritage which I am glad to be part of :D <br /> <br /> (Posting for both accounts, main account Silas the Jinx ID#5944)
