The rules are simple and they are straightforward, but they are not to be trifled with.

2.) You may post once per account.
3.) Players found creating more than the 2 allowed accounts to enter these contests will be BANNED from Alacrity; no exceptions. Don't do it -- we hate banning people.
4.) All Alacrity standard rules still apply! If you're not familiar with them, please take some time to do so -- you can find the link at the bottom of every page!
5.) We don't care what your post says, provided you follow the above rules, although Santa Paws is also picking a secondary winner based on criteria listed at the end of this post :)

Gather 'round young uns for a Christmas Tale!

Last year we got caught in a snowstorm. We were snowed in and my dad went out plowing. The 11 foot Christmas tree fell over while I hastily put together a Halo Pelican with over 1,000 pieces. My dad wasn't home on my birthday so we went a week later.I managed to go sledding down a HUGE slope covered in snow compacted into ice.Having an inflatable sled I went the fastest and the furthest. Through all the frustration that was the best Christmas we ever had

Well for a tale...-sits around fire-
Once,I went to my grandmothers for Thanksgiving. We were eating our turkey...before my grandma prayed. (I don't so I forget sometimes she likes to.) So she and the others all bowed there head and the dog,Muck, got on my lap (that's where I sometimes put my food,as a lap warmer.) and started eating my food! I was trying to wrestly the turkey silently from her,and she finnaly let go,jumped off of me,then walked off...right when they put there heads up and the turkey was in my hands! XD It looked like I had been gourging myself the entire time and they started yelling at me saying,"That is so disrespectful." Then I tryed to point out that the dog did it,but she appeared to be sleeping in the corner. X3 I know that dog meant to make me take the fall! I was sent to my room (for arguing),untill they found the turkey in her fur. XD

One Christmas me, my dad, and my brother decided we wanted some ice cream but my dad didn't want to leave the house. So me and my brother walked down to the stripes nearby through a forest and it was snowing and like 25 degrees outside. Then my brother didn't hold a branch and I wasn't paying attention and it hit me in the nose really hard. Then we got our ice cream and the people working looked at us like we were crazy, walked home, and ate it.

Merry Christmas.

My weirdest holiday story is when me and my aunt went hungry on Thanksgiving.

We were dropping my cousin off in the city with her other grandparents since we switch off holidays. We were planning on going to McDonald's to grab some supper while we waited since it wouldn't be time/gas effective to drive back. However as we drove around we found out that all of McDonalds were closed. Not only that, but there were no food places open at all. We had to wait until she was done around 9:00pm and get food from a fast food join on the highway.

Hmm, strangest Christmas? Definetly has to be our Bear-y great Christmas.

It was Christmas Eve, and me, my best friend, my brother, and some of our cousin's were out hiking on a hill behind a cabin we were staying at. It was getting late, but we were having so much fun we didn't want to go inside.
It was beginning to get dark, and we could see the smoke from our wood burning fireplace, so we all started heading down the hill towards the house. As we began down the hill, we heard something russling behind us. We ignored it, figuring it was probably just the wind or some falling snow, and continued down. But again, just a few moments later, we heard the noise again. We turned to look, and we saw something furry, brown, and huge coming down the hill behind us. We all freaked out and started screaming, and took off down the hill at full speed. We all had scratches from tree branches, my friend twisted her ankle, and I lost my hat, but we made it down and to the back porch, all the while wailing like lost puppies. We got to the backdoor screaming "BEARR! THERE'S A BEARR!" and my dad came running out with his shot gun, aiming where we were pointing, just in case. As my dad raised the gun to his shoulder to take the shot if needed, my uncle came out of the trees, his brown jacket and fuzzy hat on. He had come to get us for dinner. We had a good laugh, a wonderful Christmas eve dinner, and the next year my uncle got me a huge stuffed bear.

Our Family Tradition

Our odd Family tradition would be swimming. On chrismas, we drive out to the beach and swim for an hour, sometimes more. My friends come to watch :D They call our family polar bears.. I guess we are going swimming when it's snowing outside.

One year for christmas my family went up to my grandparents house, but we got caught in a really bad snow storm. We slid on the road a ton! of times. When we got there we had christmas and had alot of fun. Second Half: So the next day me and my many cousins went up on this huge hill that happened to be a road (not too smart:P) and we took sleds and raced down the road. One of the times a huge snow plow came and we raced it down the hill! (We won of course XP) That was a pretty good christmas for us.

In a blatant attempt to win a prize, I will admit my Christmas shame -

I have never seen 'A Christmas Story.'

It's true- I've seen parts of it, but never the whole movie. What makes it even more embarrassing is that I live half an hour south of Cleveland, Ohio, where the movie was filmed.

*Clears throat* Well, here it goes:

My Christmases are really not at all that strange. Pulling a Secret Santa, well, isn't much fun. But but but, do I have a story for you! So, every year we have to "Trim The Tree." Not just in our house, in our grandma's, too. so, we go over, and the very FIRST thing I see are these creepy elf hats. Me and my sisters do what ever it takes to try not to put them on. Make them fall off, complain about the bell ringing in our ear, anything! When our little cousin comes over, he puts one on (awwww). And our grandma says he's in the "Christmas Spirit." It really doesn't bother me. I can't believe she's trying to make us jelous of him! Of course (get this!) He drops a ordement Guess what? Instead of yelling at him, She say's okay, things like that happen! Our family happens to choose favorites, and this really bothers me. A LOT. So yeah, normal for you, but weird and annoying for me. I just wanted a story to tell. XD

A strange Christmas story? Oh wow, what one to use? XD

Well, I guess the strangest one was when I was seven years old. My dad always played Santa, but this year he wanted it to be special. So he went to a Reindeer farm and rented a Reindeer "Santa" was going to show up with and I would "happen to see Santa". Well, long story short he brought the Reindeer into the house to "help Santa put the presents under the tree". Obviously Rudolph didn't understand, because when my mother woke me up to "see Santa", we snuck down and startled him, which made him knock down our tree and push my father over into the huge pile now, before running around the living room and then finding the open door into the yard. My dad got it and called the guy to pick it up, and I was sent back to bed while my mom helped "Santa" fix our christmas tree before morning. I went back to bed, and when I woke up the tree was back up. It was still a mess, but I thought a real Reindeer had made the mess, so I didn't care.

Overall, it was the most memorable Christmas I think I'll ever have xD
