I hate making decisions
I'm sure it can't be complete rubbish. xD And I shall talk to you later.
I'm sure I could convince him to cut it. xD
Ah. I get what you mean. :) I'd love to see some of your work.
I will find him, and I will propose to him. xD
That is true. I must remember who I'm speaking to. xD
I'm very... weird when it comes to analyzing poems. Like everything else, I lean toward the extremes. I either get very deep and metaphorical, or I take it for just face value and say that is all there is to it. Which is true sometimes. I have poems like that. They literally just mean what is written, and there is nothing more to it.
Can you read a preview of it online, perhaps? Sometimes when you browse books on Amazon or wherever, there are snippets up.
Yep! xD I can verify the contents of the package, haha.
Haha. I tend to just be like, "Oh. Thank you very much." Then I change the topic to something else... or I walk away. Occasionally, I say that I have no idea what to say because I don't know what to do when someone compliments me. Some people find that charming for some reason. ^.^
Can I find him and marry him? .-.
He's not real. He's just a person that came to my mind. Possibly a figment of my own thoughts being portrayed as a man (that sounds weird, but I swear it's not... xD). It's a man's voice and from a man's position, but in a way it's my thoughts. It's also about lying. Because a) I'm not a man, b) it never happened, and c) the speaker in the poem is making up answers, but he's also lying to himself about the situation.
I really like praise, but I never know what to say in return. :x
Ah ha! You imagine the writer as a man? That's wonderful because it is a man. I've had people ask me if it really happened, but it didn't. Which is kind of the point. Especially with the title and everything. :3
The Tails anthology I highly recommend. Some of the stories just blew me away, and there was excellent variety - everything from intellectual metaphors to playful humor.
Once you get the hang of the writing, it's not so bad. :) It took a bit of rote memorization for me to learn the characters, which is an uncommon need for me, but now they're pretty easy for me to identify. I like reading Japanese labels in our local Japanese grocery store. xD
At my school, there was only one straw to pull. :P It was kind of nice that every kid taking Japanese had the same teacher - that way, anyone you talked to had the same homework and lesson plans (within your level). By third and fourth year, we all knew each other well and got along. Plus, that's about the level where casual learners drop out, so we were all interested.
That's really awkward that her name was spelt wrong.
I think part of me does know when a poem is good. I just say it's bad, so that way I don't get disappointed if someone says it's horrible. I do that with tests too. I always plan on getting a 70%. Then I'm thrilled when I get a 98%. xD
This is one of my favorite poems. People tend to like it a lot, too. It actually uses imagery! xD
I'm a writer; therefore, I lie.
Sitting all alone
I think to myself.
Wonder where you are,
where you'll be,
how you are.
I ask myself all these questions
I should be asking you.
And now I'm writing a poem
on the back of a napkin
with a circular coffee stain.
And I'm making up answers
to my questions
because I'm far too afraid
to get them from you.
There's nothing to forgive; thanks so much for the birthday wishes. ^^
This has been the best birthday in years. My prize gift is a year's subscription to the Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction; ever heard of it? Last year I purchased an anthology called Tails of Imagination and Wonder, a compilation of fantasy and sci fi stories involving felines (real, mythological, or metaphorical), and I absolutely adored it. I noticed that many of the stories were credited as being originally published in the Magazine of F&SF, so I looked it up, and now I'm going to be one happy F&SF nerd every other month. <3
As for your earlier question about Japanese, I honestly find the language easy to grasp. Unlike English, there are very few exceptions to grammar or conjugation rules. The most foreign concept about Japanese (aside from it being completely foreign) is the formality levels. I would speak with different conjugations to you than I would to a teacher.
And the writing system is an entire thing to learn in and of itself. Japan had no written language until it made contact with China, so it ended up adopting Chinese kanji. There are thousands of kanji in everyday use. Japan also "simplified" kanji forms to create phonetic writing systems, and that's mostly what we learned in class.
I adore Japanese, I could go on for hours. ^^ I think it flows well.
I'm an artist. Most artists don't think they're good. It's practically a requirement. xD
I love creative writing classes. I'll probably take one in college.
She was just talking to the class in general about how imagery helps make a good poem, and just stuck it on the end. I don't really know why. And on the last day of class, she hugged me and told me that I already am a poet. (I think I said something like, "I want to be a poet someday.") She's one of the best teachers. Everyone likes her.
Me too! Sort of. I want to be old and crazy, but I want to be one of those that says really funny things "accidentally" and everyone laughs at. Like Yetta on The Nanny! I decided that even if I don't go senile, I will act it just for the kicks and giggles.
For me, if a long poem can keep my attention to read through it all, I simply adore it. I tend to prefer short poems though. As well as poems that mess around with syntax. I'm a huge ee$@#!*mings fan. (Let's see if it sensors his name... xD)
I was surprised I was able to crank out a poem so easily when I had that headache. I was certain I wasn't going to get any writing done that class.
Thank you very much. :3 I don't really think I'm very good... My creative writing teacher was funny though because we had an assignment to write a poem involving five words we pulled out of a hat. I was the first to read, then two more people read, and she critiqued them. Then she said that poems should use imagery then she added "unless you're Emily. In which case, you do just fine without any images." That's probably the best compliment I've ever had on any of my poems. :3
I almost always write short poems... long poems distract for both reading and writing. x.x
I also write a lot of love/unrequited love/psychological type poems. I had a headache in my creative writing class once and wrote a poem which equated headaches to being locked up in a mental institution/prison. It was pretty decent.
This is a short poem I wrote to no one in particular, actually. Wrote it while I was distracted during my English midterm last year. I actually wrote it in pencil on the desk like the horrible child I am. xD
My Love
I could write down
all the wonderful things about you,
but then I would need
a piece of paper three miles long.
So I hope this will do:
I love you just the way you are
keep being you.
Here, Here | 12/14/10 11:32AM
I haven’t been able to write a poem in weeks.
Weeks filled with page upon page of meaningless words.
Words so futile in my bless-ed attempt to find salvation.
Salvation littered with lies and heartless sounds.
Sounds in which others find the meaning to life.
Life that is so unforgiving the hopeful have lost.
Lost their minds to the same drabble as I.
The only reason "blessed" is written as "bless-ed" is to help with pronunciation. It's meant to be pronounced as it is written with the dash.
Good rhyming poems are ones that you can read through without even noticing the rhyming. Unfortunately, not many people are good at that, in my opinion. Some people are amazing with it, but others... not so much. Sing-song poems are not enjoyable. x.x
I normally don't write in any specific format. I did one poem where each line started with the same word as the previous line ended with. The poem also started and ended with the same word. I'm also not big on rhyming.
I've been writing a lot of haikus recently. I've been using the standard American format. I wish I was using un instead of syllables, but I'm much too lazy to do that.
I can tell you that Rosemary was certainly not happy that he didn't return it. Especially since she was expecting him to... xD
It's very sad. I do not remember what happened to him. I think he fell off of something, but I'm not sure.
Dying. x.x Actually, I did have the urge to kill off a character. I don't know which character. I was just like, "I want one of them to die..." xD
I've never met either "breeds". I just think it's wrong to call them a breed when I don't believe they are. I don't think I'd ever do Schutzhund. It just doesn't appeal to me. Our dog trainer did both Schutzhund and showing with one of her GSDs named Jagger. She got a Malinois puppy who was supposed to be used for Schutzhund. He's from working lines, but actually had very good conformation for showing besides being a good working type (which is rare, though thankfully Malinois haven't been completely screwed over by show breeding). And he placed in a puppy class at a dog show. He's also learning agility. :3 Unfortunately he somehow injured his back, I believe. And he's supposed to be resting (no running at all) which is nearly impossible. He got out one day and (of course) he ran, so now he's back to where he started. The vets aren't sure if he'll ever be able to get better. I don't think he's even a year old yet. It's sad. :(
Ahh. I get what you mean. I've done that before. I try not to, but sometimes it's inevitable. Especially when I like the pairing. x.x Although I have this obsession with relationships not working out between characters right now.
I find that plush coats do tend to be calmer and more relaxed. Hence the reason they are not normally used for Schutzhund/Military/Police work. However, there are some that are handfuls. It just varies from dog to dog. Shiloh Shepherds are a crap breed. Just like "King Shepherds" I think are a crap breed. But long coats aren't Shilohs and there is a big difference.
Even if you only posted once a week that'd be better than what we all have going right now. x.x Mostly we're just making fics.
Haha. Okay. I didn't even remember that until you mentioned it. But thank you for telling me! That's interesting...
Yeah, Texas was fiendishly hot. At least it was dry heat, though; it's the humidity here in the midwest that's killing me. Actually, I believe Texas has a drought right now - my cousins said they hadn't seen rain since last October, which is difficult to imagine.
I'm really sick of setting weather records, haha. We broke the driest July in a ridiculous number of years, and I think we were in the running for most consecutive days in the 90s - or maybe we broke it by now. And last winter was brutal as well. I wish I could live somewhere with more of a happy medium, heh. I enjoy mild springs and falls.
That sounds like a great sight-seeing tour. :) Most of my knowledge of Europe comes from fiction or my friend's trip, but it all sounds wonderful. Ooh, family in Italy - had you met them directly before, or was this your first visit?
I feel your pain; I'm getting out of practice with my Japanese already. My college unfortunately doesn't offer Japanese classes. I'm hoping to enroll in summer courses at a local college just to keep learning. Language is an excellent way to exercise the mind.
In Tokyo, most of the Japanese employees we encountered spoke fluent English. Many of the kids in the host families also spoke well. My sister, Hiroka, spoke carefully and slowly but she was always intelligible.
You could play fetch in the empty house. ;)
Rattie licks and nibbles are always cute - rats are the best. ^^ *gushes a bit* Despite their short lifespan, I foresee myself adopting more rodents after college.
Thanks. :) I'm thrilled to be going to college. I have a small school, about 5,000 kids, so there should be small class sizes and lots of professor interaction. My current major is Computer Science, but I'm looking to pick up a major/minor in art or Interactive Media. Most of the classes I'm enrolled in now are gen ed, though. Like my Bio 101 class - our textbook is titled Genetics, though, so I think I'm going to love it. x3
I love plush coats, but I generally love german shepherds. I know someone who had this big beautiful boy that was a fidelco dog. He was a plush coat and actually was the size of a small bear. xD He was a therapy dog and just the sweetest, sweetest dog.
An emotional support animal is a new term, I think. And it is used to describe what I said. People bring dogs into stores a lot and they most definitely aren't service animals. Just peoples pets. xD And in Massachusetts, I was in the "rich" suburbs, so if you were to do that you'd get sued up the wazoo for kicking a service dog out.
I know that Shika (and Gracie) were wanting to roleplay with you some. :)
Yes... he has long, curly, auburn-ish colored hair. He's not even a rocker or anything. He likes really melodic music. xD He's very sweet. I have no idea what his thing about the long hair is... He's a very caring guy though. Definitely one of the decent guys out there. He's also decently religious without being one of those scary religious people that (at least I feel) take it so far that they become hypocritical. I love that he's religious though. Super respectful and all that. He's planning on becoming pharmacist and a volunteer firefighter. :) He actually already works as a junior fireman and police officer. He does EMT type stuff and is also a trained lifeguard, so if there is a drowning or something he goes and retrieves the person for the paramedics and if the paramedics aren't there yet he does resuscitation. I'm sure he'll cut his hair when he's older. xD
You can already see some fuzz behind his ears, but because it's a long stock coat and not a plush coat it's harder to tell. His brother has a plush coat and you can definitely tell. xD He's 15 weeks this weekend.
I read that a dog that isn't trained to provide any task would technically fall under "emotional support animal". Which do have their own rights, but they aren't service animals and don't require any specific training. Although they do have to be "prescribed" by a doctor. I looked this all up because I've been considering a service dog for myself and was going to bring it up with my doctor. And legally, I do believe they must be "trained" to do one task the person with the certified disability is unable to do because of said disability. They don't have to be officially registered, but if an officer or such were to ask how the dog was trained then he/she would be required to do so. Of course, this hardly, if ever, happens because of lawsuit fears and such. I was confused when you mentioned that people get thrown out of stores for having a service animal. I haven't ever really heard of that. At least not in my area. If anything, people were lying about their dog being a service animal. The owners wouldn't ever question someone about something like that. Once again, for lawsuits. I doubt it would happen here in Montana either.
Nope. No markings in particular. I do like the idea of a nice sable. Chances are if you go for more extensive markings with varying opacities then there won't be another dog out there just like it.
Lol. I don't think my mother would mind. xD When I was little, my best friend was always over my house. And I've had friends through the years that are practically live-in friends. Haha.
I still definitely have feelings for him. And honestly, he'd probably make the "ideal" husband. He's the sweetest guy I know and is super respectful. The only thing my mom didn't like what his hair being "long". Could never convince him to cut it short for a test run. I wanted him to get a crew cut because they're super cute. xD Oh well.
She was murdered on July 3rd. It's possibly that he had some psychological problems. He's being held without bail until his probable cause hearing.
Fila was gorgeous. <3
Well, we rescued him. We do know that his father is a Czech though. A very handsome guy from what I've heard. The rescue had his father, but he was adopted quickly. His mother is still there. She's a gorgeous black long stock coat. Chances are Bogart may turn out to be a long stock coat, but we won't know for sure until he grows up. I did research on service dogs, and I thought in order for a dog to be a service dog the person in possession of the dog must have a certified disability and the dog (or any animal) must be "trained" to help said person in one task. Many animals qualify without any such training (like cats who can sense when people with debilitating headaches are going to get one).
There is one kitten we have our eye on, but we're afraid she'll be gone before we can get her. She has been there for a while though. I'm shocked no one has adopted her. She's the little sweetest girl.
Bogart is super good with other animals. He's good with cats, dogs (including small dogs), donkeys, horses, chickens, etc. We haven't introduced him to the chinchillas yet, but I feel like he'll be fine with them. His prey drive is very low (but he is highly motivated by play, pets, and food).
There is an amazing Marine Biology program at a Maine college. I can't remember the name, sadly.
What kind of suggestions? I, personally, am a fan of the more natural looking dogs like Fila. They can be so striking especially if they aren't "simple" like you find with the foundation GSDs. Sort of like Fila and how she has the varied markings. Gracie actually helped me out with her because I couldn't figure the white out.
I don't really like Florida. My friend is from there. It's okay, but Montana is much more to my liking.
He was more upset over it than I was. I think he's still mad about it. He's in Europe right now. I feel super guilty about breaking up with him because I don't even have a good reason. I might end up getting back with him. I'm not sure... It's wasn't a bad split, and we split with the idea that we might get back together when the time is right and our circumstances are different. He's a grade below me, so maybe after he graduates.
Yeah... she was actually murdered. Probably by her ex-boyfriend (who I also know). It's a little tough to wrap my head around.
Yup. Her name was Fila. :3 I made my first (and currently only) custom in her image.
I plan on doing a lot with him, and he has that personality. He's highly trainable. We might start with tracking. Then I might work with him on Skijoring. :3 I've even considered therapy work or training him to be a psychological service dog if I end up needing one. He's just an amazing little boy.
I've already picked out our future kittens names. We want to get two girls, but if we don't I have a backup name for the non-unisex name. Arlee and Santana are the top name. :3 If we end up getting two boys, instead of Arlee we're going to go with Arlo and Santana. :3
We're actually also going to get another dog once Bogart is a little older. And when one in the shelter catches our eye.
I'm majoring in Wildlife Biology, and I'm considering a dual major in either Photography or Psychology (which I might minor in anyways).
My summer has been excellent. I did visit Cape Cod, and just a week ago I visited Texas to see my paternal extended family. I love catching up with those cousins, they're all interesting and easy to get along with.
For the most part, though, I've been hanging out with friends online and messing around with characters all summer.
Man, that must have been a fun month in Europe! Did you go with family or friends? I bet you saw a lot of great places. :) Do you speak any German or Italian? If I remember, you love learning foreign languages?
Ah, moving. John-dear has had some moving stress as well. I can imagine how hectic that would be. I love empty houses, though; fantastic for playing capture the flag or just goofing around with somersaults.
I'm glad your critters are doing well. :3 Cancer and tumors seem to be a common occurrence with rodents, though. :< I hope the tumor behaves itself.
I think we've spoken since my last rat passed? I really miss having rodents, haha. My college dorm doesn't even allow a solitary fish. ^^; I've had a mouse visitor for two nights in a row, and I'm trying to catch him so I can release him in a park. He's so adorable.
Ellie is about knee-height now, and she seems to be done growing. I love having her around. <3 She's still very energetic and can get bitey, but for the most part she's a lovely dog. She's recently started shedding a ton, odd for the middle of summer - and it's been a scorcher this year. x_x
Sox still won't go near Ellie. ^^; Other than that, she's well. She's useless as a mouser though, haha.
Right now, I'm gearing up for college. I'll be a freshman this coming semester. :3 Mom has gone into a panic mode - she's freaking out about buying me everything I need for the dorm. My college is 3 hours away, so a decent drive and we'd like to get everything right the first time, haha.
Thank you! :D
Ummm... That sucks though that you need to purchase more episodes.
Usually hitting ctrl+z undoes the deleting I accidentally do. On Firefox it does. <3
D'you have any stuffed animals? :3 I ask because my room still cradles 100-some stuffed animals. I have far more of them than models.
And they all have names, many have characters, and I love them all. >,> Come to think of it, the stuffed animals are probably the first form of story writing and roleplaying I did. My sister and I would weave stories with them, as is common with little kids and dolls.
Easter was nice. :) And kind of break from the normal is rather pleasant. My family isn't very religious, but we did all spend Easter together. We had delicious ham and cheesy potatoes and strawberry stuff. Strawberries are my favorite!
Euchre. <3 It's funny; my mom's side of the family plays Shanghai rummy like crazy, but my dad's side is big on hand and foot. I dunno if you've played those games, but the strategies are basically complete opposites. :) Going between the families is amusing in terms of game playing.
Didja get them from referrals? :) It's really nice to get long-term referred players. I've gotten some Magical items that way, and like you, I'm very particular about where to use them. I still have a few stashed away.
No, I don't own any i-products, actually. Is that like a mystery game? :o
I don't really like Angry Birds, actually... I really like Tilt to Live, Air Assault, Traffic Rush, Radiant, and Veggie Samurai. :3
I also really like Shadow Runner, GloBall, Little Metal Ball, Mr. AahH!!, and Spider.
Some of the iPod games are seriously awesome. I def am addicted to some.
Yes. It is healthy. xD
So, my condolences for your re-typing.
I fought Facebook tooth and nail, and I still dislike it. I'm against anything on the Internet that requires you to disclose your identity. To me, Internet = anonymous. Or at least, it should be your own choice whether or not to disclose information.
But, I did finally see the value of Facebook for keeping in touch with people who don't live in your state. People you can't see ever few months. Of course, as with texting and e-mailing, I failed miserably at keeping in touch with my relatives through Facebook. Turns out it's my fault and not the tools I attempt to keep in touch with. ;)
I also just saw a news snippet today that Facebook is adding a feature where you can send "posts" or whatever they are only to select people.... that sounds like it has the potential to really increase gossiping. :( I'm worried; bullying online is already pretty bad, and now it's that much easier to talk behind a friend's back.
I love model animals. :) I have this really gorgeous, detailed gryphon figurine. I named him Mao after Mao Zedong (yup, I'm a nerd). I also have a less detailed dragon model that mom gave me because I insisted that, rather than a pony, I wanted a dragon. Now I have one. xD
I hope your Easter was good! :D Haha, when I read The King's Speech my eyes focused in on King and I thought you meant Stephen King for a moment. I love his work. Anyway, I spent Easter with my immediate family. My older brother came home from college, and we played a game of euchre.
Haha, I do maxing with the Trainer Perk and a Scholar Collar. x3 Even that takes a long time with TPs as high as Tabassum. I decided to max her sister, Naga, by hand. Around 1500TP is when I consider using a Magical Water Bowl, and after 2500 I definitely do. x3 My breeding line is just now getting up to those points, so I think I'll have to start picking and choosing who I actually want to keep breeding. My budget wouldn't stretch far enough to keep breeding after the 2000 line...
But pups with about 800TP and up make tons of money trialing. :o I was really surprised when I started trialing everyone by how quick it can add up.
My mind is far from sound. xD
It's better than befriending the voices in your head...? I did that. :x
Because mediating is really good with helping yourself relax. It's way better than yoga... Yoga stresses me out.
Yeah. I tend not to worry about speech and stuff. I more so worry about what's going on in my head. >.>
Do you meditate by any chance?
I'm not sure if what you're describing is actually stuttering. It seems normal to me. My stuttering is due to being unable to continue rather than not finding the right word. I know exactly what I want to say, I just can't seem to say it. I wouldn't even be able to say "uh" after. I literally have to consciously stop making any noise and start over. Mine is just a type of stuttering. Stuttering includes all involuntary speech repetition or inability to create/continue speech.
I miss rping with you. T.T -random-
I actually stutter. Not the most common way of stuttering. Instead of involuntary syllable repetition, I'll either repeat the whole word involuntary multiple times (I think my "record" is around 10) and involuntary pauses during speech. It normally only happens to me when I get really excited or eager instead of being nervous or something. I just get so excited. :3
I really want to see that movie. My friend stutters (although... I didn't notice until this year when she pointed it out... and I've known her for, like, 5 years. xD).
Argh, I'm already bad at keeping in touch with people. I finally joined Facebook to try to keep in touch with my distant relatives, but I never get on anymore. (And of course, the longer I go without getting on, the more I dread finally logging in and having a million things to look at.)
Yeah, I still like receiving greeting cards and such. ^^ We got a really cute, humorous one from my favorite aunt and uncle yesterday. It was for Easter.
99% of the snail mail I get now, though, is from colleges. I mean, I'm practically decided on where I'm going, but I'm still getting pamphlets from places I've never heard of.
Pssh, 13 feet of shark is no real difference. xD
Youch, swimming with a Man of War is not on my list of good ideas! That really would've gotten my heart racing.
Speaking of Man of Wars, on my way to Gatlinburg for spring break, we passed an exit in Kentucky for a street named Man of War. I asked Dad why they would name a street after a "jellyfish" in Kentucky, and I felt silly when he told me it was a famous racehorse's name.
Are you doing some family visiting over Easter? :) Well, I'll keep that in mind when I see you online but not responding to me. ;) Nah, I'm not actually that much of a stalker - I don't look to see when people are online.
I see you finally snatched one of my puppies. :) *hugs Tabassum*
Yeah, once I start procrastinating on a picture, it just snowballs. D; I ended up doing an at-home Independent Study in Art project in two days once.
I'll keep far away from Clorox, then!
Doodle was really happy to have your good wishes. ^^ She didn't realize I was chatting with you again yet. She also sends her hello!
Honestly, I'm much happier this year with fewer real life friends. My online friends are so wonderful that they fill most of the friendship needs I'd have. And even when I go out of state for college, it'll be a simple matter to keep in touch with you 'n Jandee 'n everyone else. Even Shika, because although she's a real life friend, we talk online far more often. (I did begin Wednesday Walks with her, though, so I can see her at least once a week. We'll be on WWIIIII next week.)
Tigershark, dogfish... what's the difference? :D Heheh, honestly, I'm more afraid of stepping on crabs than sharks in the shallows. Crab pinches can sting. And I once had a brush with a jellyfish, that wasn't fun. My brother got the truly bad deal - he was bodysurfing with his arms out, and it stung his armpit!
As much as I love beaches, I don't think I'd want one for a wedding. A honeymoon, however, would be lovely on a beach! ^^- Haha, I want my honeymoon to be at Cape Cod. xD
Yay Arson! *snuggles*
But that's what the pup predictor is for. ^^- Plus, every refresh of a pup predict is another chance at a random event. ;)
Google theeemmm! I love them. xD
I don't like the ones that are stuck up. The only two I really, really love are Seth Aaron and Mondo. They were both constantly good and definitely had their own styles, which I liked. They were also willing to push boundaries. Seth has some really amazing jackets that I would KILL to have.
I got my friend addicted to Criminal Minds. She's totally obsessed now. I also got this same friend addicted to Skillet and Skinny Jeans. I am so proud of myself. :D
CSI freaks me out... NCIS and Criminals Minds don't though. I watch them before bed almost every single night.
NCIS is amazing. <3 I also adore Criminal Minds though.
I think of the NCIS episode with the human chop shop.
Yeah... it's nasty. I couldn't believe he was a coach when I saw.
Lol. I always hit below the belt, that's for sure. xD
All the sketchy older men always go for me for some reason. The T was packed yesterday, so I didn't want to freak anyone out, to be honest. Even worse, he had a sweatshirt on that said "Coach ___" apparently. He's the coach for some school's track team... gross. I kind of wish I'd said something, but... yeah... Actually, from how he was acting at first I thought that maybe he just had some mental disability, but he went from acting odd to acting completely normal... So I don't really know what that was about.
Lol. It's okay. I act possessed, too. Just apparently in a sketchy way. I wasn't even wearing my thick black eyeliner!
The only reason I hate waiting for the bus I usually take in Brookline is because it's sorta back a little under this abandoned overhead bridge. It's pretty sketch because someone could just grab you and pull you behind and no one would be
able to see you. x.x
Same. The Green Line is nothing to me. Although, I was on it yesterday coming back home and some guy was staring at my legs and grinning in the most pervy way. The business people on the Green Line are the ones I don't like the most though. Lots of them just stare straight ahead like they're possessed. xD Haha.
The lady looked so paranoid. xD
Brookline is pretty safe, but there are definitely sketchy areas. The thing with Boston is that you can't say a whole area is bad. There are basically parts of every area that are bad. Southie has it's bad parts. The South End is pretty well known for being dangerous at night for females. Dorchester is known to be bad, but there are some really safe, rich places that are part of it. But then again there is crime in the Back Bay and everything. It's all about very specific areas instead of neighborhoods. I feel more creeped out waiting for the 66 bus by Brookline Village to head into Roxbury then waiting for the 66 bus in Roxbury to head out toward Brookline Village. And then there is how comfortable you are with the area. I'm perfectly fine with riding the Green Line (the only other line I'm willing to ride alone would be the Blue Line), but I know people would wouldn't step foot on the Green line because of the people who ride it. Although, last time I was on the Green line some lady kept looking at me like I was going to pull out a gun any second and shoot up the place. xD
Yum, jelly bean goo! :D We'll stain your clothes forever~! I could never be "stuck" with you, either; you're always good company. (Well, I suppose if we're jelly beans we're all stuck to each other...)
Oh, Doodle is doing fine. I could tell her you say hi? She's entering a rather girly stage that I never went through, but overall I can't complain, haha.
Yeah, an unplanned meeting would definitely be an "it's a small world" moment. I've had some of those with people knowing other people, but never with Internet people.
I've gotten over some of my shyness over the past five years. Well, I don't want to say "gotten over" - it's not like it's a phase anyone should get out of. But, while I'm definitely still an introvert, I don't have the same fear of talking to other people in classes or hallways. Though ironically, I have less friends than ever. xD /my own fault
And I'd be thrilled for you to call me Gracie in real life. ^^
Heheh, I feel lucky for not having the common fear of sharks. I mean, if I saw one up close I wouldn't be so pleased, but sharks are a really small risk compared to almost anything else... especially cars. Cars are dangerous. o_0 Anyway, I've caught a dogfish (type of small shark) before during a boating/fishing excursion, and that was kind of neat.
Yeah, something tells me real belugas would be bigger and less pixel-y than Zoo Tycoon. x3
My cousin had a wedding last summer, so I got a feel for what having all my family at a wedding would be like. I think it was sort of a medium wedding... I didn't know that cousin very well, so most of the guests were strangers. The bride's family was really nice, though.
Gosh, I don't know if I want church or... or maybe outside in the spring or summer!
Yay Arson! *pets* My first dog, Kashi, has also been immortalized - she even has the honorary first kennel slot. :D
And I would be thrilled to breed you whoever you want, it wouldn't be any trouble. x3 That offer will always stand!
thank you :)
Yeah. It wasn't so bad in Boston, though.
Little jelly beans. x3 I just feel so lucky that I was able to keep in frequent touch with Jandee and Missy (and Shika, but she lives five minutes away so it's sort of a given). I wish I could see you just as often. D; *hugs* Not that I'm insulted that your real life is busier than your computer life, but when I think about the good ole days on Vchins, I always miss you a bit.
I think the shock factor of seeing a virtual friend face-to-face would be somewhat fun. x3 But then again, you've gotta be careful what you wish for; some of the details you'd been imagining for so long could be totally wrong. Or sometimes people act differently online than in the real world. I think I'm generally the same... I try to write as I speak, so it ends up long-winded and rambly.
Sheesh, my first name is so common that no one would ever find me with just that. x3 I try not to let it slip, though, because I don't like it very much... I much prefer Gracie. I've even considered going by Gracie in the real world (some of my extended family calls me that), but I wonder if it wouldn't be that special a nickname anymore if I used it in the real world and online.
There are always waves on Nauset when we go in late June, but never that big! :O Usually we just play "who can stay in longest" types of games, but some years I've actually gone swimming - which hurts less than standing because those darn stones on the bottom pelt your feet if they're touching the ground. One year, my older cousin and I got in and out and in and out over an hour, and when we finally had enough our lips were blue. ^^
Yes, a seal! ^,^ My aunt and uncle have all kinds of cool wildlife stories; they kayak all the time. Once, they kayaked near some beluga whales. They told me they once saw a pod of Portuguese Man of Wars!
Virtual wedding invitation! :D I'll hold ya to that. Gosh, I've barely imagined my own wedding guest list. I know I'd prefer a smaller wedding, though. And I don't want to wear a white dress, white is so boring. :| Either blue, which I really like, or peach, which I really look good in.
Haha, yeah, I can't believe I had the patience to train dogs without the Trainer perk before. x3 And your profile looks very good with the Breeder perk. It makes your info and your scribbles more lined up, except for when I post huge messages to your scribbles. ;)
I have two more litters coming late today and tomorrow; I'm super excited. x3 And heheh, if you like a certain dog I'd be happy to breed a litter for you. I have so many girls that it's too hard to breed them all the time, but most of 'em have great pup potential.
And I'm glad to hear ^^ Its my way of giving out hugs to people without them knowing :)
and yes, I am doing very well, you?
Your color-connections are odd. Green is envy! I have a very strong connection with that. Blue is sadness, yet rather joyful (you got this one right). Yellow is the color of pure happiness associated with the sun shinning in the summer. Red is is classy, like you said. M&Ms don't look like any animal pellets that my pets have, so... don't remind me of that, at all. Brown is a very earthy, natural color. Orange is a very unpleasant color for me unless it leans toward yellow, in which case it is happy, but pure orange makes me want to dive under a bench. I really mostly just like cool colors.
Without any doubt, blue are the best. Second best we debated about though. I say red, she says green. Red is too "normal" she says, but I think of it as the "classic". Green we decided as 2nd/3rd best (her and me respectively). Orange is the worst.
Card game? Which?
I'm also wicked tired right now. When I'm tired like this I'm not very interested in much at all...
Haha, yep, total teacher's pet. ;D I honestly enjoy having a relationship with most of my teachers - the nice and interesting ones, anyway.
But why would a true stalker want to team-stalk? :o Then there's less of you to go around! Logic, my dear.
Aww, a rottie puppy. ^^- Sassy really was a nice person.
That's a very safe fear to have! I'm also very cautious about revealing real world knowledge of me online... though admittedly, over the last few years I've grown more lax. But after, what, 7 years? I'm sure Jandee isn't lying about who she is. Or heck, if she is, she deserves to fool me after all that time! Joking, of course.
Searching out anything becomes a ton more fun on the beach. Like, I still enjoy collecting seashells when I go (I even arranged some of them on the top shelf of my bookcase). And yeah, Nauset is freezing cold; we always have a bagel breakfast one morning at Nauset, and us kids usually have a "who can stay in the water longest" contest. One year, it was only my step-cousin-once-removed (or something) and I left in the water up to our waists, and a seal surfaced about fifteen feet in front of us.
I don't enjoy conventional romantic roleplays, but when you have the right character chemistry, it's just a blast. Missy and I have two pairings that we just have so much fun with. One pair can banter back and forth for hours, and the other are playful but rather sweet. Haha, we've done more talking about their pairings than actually roleplaying them (talking and plotting are much faster than actually roleplaying, after all).
My friend and I once devised my "clueless about romance forever" theoretical future... in college, I would think I was best friends with this guy, but he thought (and by societal standards) we were dating, and he'd propose to me and I'd still have no idea it was a romantic relationship.
Yay for the Trainer perk! You'll get lots of training done now. ;) The upgrade is a good deal, too, considering the monthly items you get.
Yes, I've really been working with my Sheltie line. x3 I just love breeding them. I think Slate, Fletcher, and Marc are my favorites.
Very few of my characters look like me, haha, but most have an aspect of my personality. I did create a character, EV, intending for her to be plain looking, and she resembles me some.
And nope, I won't stalk you. ;) Much too busy on the Internet to leave my computer and stalk someone.
After college, I really want to buy a chinchilla from Jandee, so then I would get to meet one of my online friends. ^^-
Ooh, lucky. Well, I'll be in Cape Cod around the 4th of July again. Fireworks on the sandbar are awesome, and then all the little cousins scamper around looking for all the fireworks shrapnel. The waters will be warmer by then, too, so we can do some swimming.
I'm hoping I can set up a nice budget plan and be super organized to pay bills and all that jazz.
Haha, I like all the lovely-dovey courting when it's in books or even roleplays, but when it comes to myself, I'm hopelessly unromantic. I can't even imagine kissing or holding hands with someone, let alone having a family with a guy. But I do like children; oh, the conflicting desires.
The Trainer perk is 100% worth it. It doubles the effectiveness of your training sessions, so you cut the time it takes to max a dog in half (plus you get 20 more sessions a day). And if you have a scholar collar, that stacks with the trainer perk, so you quadruple the effectiveness of your sessions. The Breeder perk is nice if you do a lot of breeding and want high TP; I like it because my goal on Ala is to see how high I can breed my Shelties' TPs to before it's unmanageable and I give up. If you don't breed often, I'd save the bones.
Oh yeah, I remember now - we've both been to Cape Cod in the past. :3 Gosh, it would be funny to run into you there. But surely you must admit that beach wildlife, beach grasses, and tide pools make the rest of the beach tolerable? (I'm actually a fan of really soft, white sand to dig my feet in, too.)
Childhood, where have you gone? D; Not all of my childhood was great... I should go back and re-do those parts, haha. Still, I am looking forward to the freedom and responsibility that come with adulthood. I can picture myself living in a nice, little apartment with a rat 'n a cat for most of my life. And possibly a family, but I'm still not big on romance yet.
To be fair, I wouldn't want people using my expensive plane either. Actually, I don't even like people touching my tablet and that was only a few hundred. ^^; But theoretically, if there's demand for low-cost plane rentals, it would be a good business venture. Maybe you can time-share a plane, haha.
Heh, I should take a standing view of her. I even have a camera now, but I never remember to do these things.
---
Also, her hair is normally lighter than that, but it's quite possible she would dye it that color at some point. She dyes it various blonde colors.
It feels too early to choose a career, does it not? D: Gosh, if only I could have two or three careers... among yours, though, could you get a pilot license just for a hobby? I wonder, can you rent planes to fly, or are most hobby pilots rich people who own planes?
Boston is a nice place, as far as cities go; my uncle gave me a tour last summer. I'm all for teaching English in foreign countries - actually, my Japanese teacher did that for a year (in Japan, naturally), and she really enjoyed it.
I know what you mean about family connections... I would feel weird playing that card. I suppose once I used my Dad's chemist job to supply pH strips for a science fair project, haha. But I think getting a tour of a company is a pretty harmless connection.
No pressure to help or anything, but she's a cutie so I had to show her off. ;)
Theoretically, you can look up information on FIRST Robotics events on their website. Gosh, I'm rather sad that our season ended! I'm hoping to become a mentor to a team after college.
Aww, it can't be the worst state since Cheetah is in it, though! D; Hmm, are you getting closer to college age yet? You could always go out of state for college. That's what I'm doing - I'll probably be attending a college in Illinois, but I'm on the waitlist for my first choice over in Pittsburgh.
Ooh, I'm going to have to Google Raydon. Thanks for that gem of knowledge. ^^-
I think the biggest thing in my life is that we got a new puppy over Christmas. :3 She's oh-so-adorable, if a little bite-y, and I now get exercise walking her every other day.
Actually, how would you like a little canine puzzle to solve? Our little Ellie is a mixed breed, and the rescue we adopted her from said she was a lab-shepherd mix. But she's only this big and done growing, and I'm starting to doubt there's any lab in her. She sits like this all the time. I figure there has to be hound or terrier in her to cause those speckle markings on her paws and belly. Also, she has incredible prey drive and a keen nose.
I'm busy irl right now with FIRST robotics. We're halfway through our 6-week build season, so we're spending 3-4 hours a day at school working on the robot (or in my division's case, the animation). I can barely be online during weekdays... except this week, whatwith all the crazy snow days. I live in the midwest, and we're not used to being hammered like this.
Thanks! My kennel is big now, huh? Being here so long will do that. :P If you need help re-adjusting, I'm happy to assist. Did you know that Huskies are the next planned breed for March?
I have no idea what's up with Vchins. I was momentarily thrilled when I learned they were redoing their site - I thought, y'know, it would be a nice makeover and things would be smoother. But half a year after them doing that, the default images are still up, banner says New Year's, and everything is a mess... I mean, I didn't log in at all, but yeah... Try not to worry about the items/chins, even though I relate that some are sentimental, but losing old messages sucks. :| If it's important, you could always ask if that's backed up somewhere.
Yup, we're in the same account now and stuff! But both of us are getting really busy, haha. Our joined forces are less active than plenty of single people. xD
I'm dreading my birthday this year. v_v I pretty much just lost all of my real life friends - not in a fight, just sort of... they don't pay attention to me anymore. I haven't heard from any of them but one for a month now. I'm not sure which will be worse - not getting a happy birthday or getting a happy birthday from them. v__v But, I did just find out I'll be at my cousin's wedding in Ohio on my birthday. xD So that's fun?
Nah, it's fine, keep it! I got three at once (referral gifts for keeping people around for 60 days xD), and I used one on Kashi, gave one to you, and might end up gifting the third too. :P
Yeah, I'd love that! Always good to see more friendly faces on the sites I love. ^^- I'unno if you know anything about sharing accounts? Shika and I are going to share my account on Aywas starting from whenever we stop being lazy and move her things over to mine. x3 She goes by Sunset, though.
I'm actually busy now, haha. School's out, but I'm helping out with my robotics team's summer camp. We pretty much teach about seven classes (in sessions) to younger kids about Lego robots, engineering software, and engineering tools. Very fun, but also very busy.
And, happy birthday! Ah, I do believe I have a gift for ya. :3
Heh, it's okay. I was super busy all week as well. I had three AP tests in a row. Ouch. But, now I'm all done, and all my core subjects (the AP classes) will have no work anymore, so free time abound!
So I'm doing better because of that. Not doing great, but eh. Friend problems.
And how are you doing? Less busy now? :3
Oh, goodness! Go look at Kashi now! :D :D She's full strength!
I am very ashamed of you. I have seen not one, but at LEAST four posts where you have signed your name. How can I /not/ be ashamed of you?
:P
Hehe. Yes. Cheetah Dye! Jandee is just on when no one else is. xD
Yeah. So scary to think about people just nosing into your personal info. >> Same thing with identity theft and whatnot - it's so creepy to think about. And can happen if you wantonly give away your info.
Yes, they certainly can be. xD
I feel bad applying it to my brother, but meh. xD It's true.
Yeah, I'm not on any of those sites. I think the Internet is great when you're anonymous... I just don't even want to deal with the non-anonymous parts of it. Especially because colleges look at your Facebook friends and such.
It was so fun. ^^- It took half an hour to get the make-up off, though. xD
Yeah, people seem to do it pretty easily, too. Like Facebook. o_0 I don't see how gender is bad, but when you're giving out addresses, or your school's title, you're giving out too much. Or posting photographs; I always cringe when I see those. xD
Except for my photograph of myself. xD I always use this one: http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh152/Saeko-san/46120005.jpg
'Cuz you can't tell that it's me. xD Even my own parents didn't recognize me. o_0 (Had it taken in Japan by a professional studio, who also provided the maiko outfit/make-up.)
Heheh, yeah. I hate being asked. I have condensed my personal info into "High Schooler in the US." 'Cuz that's all I'll give out. Oh, and that I'm female, but hey, that's apparent in the name... Well that's one you forgot. xD Gender.
Definitely! Haha, I have a real life older brother, too. He's in college now, though. :| My favorite siblings in roleplays, though, are shared between Missy and I. Man, it's soooo much fun to bug older brothers when that older brother is someone else's charrie.
Teyrain's older brother is Shinya, which is a less awesome name. xD Teyrain rocks.
By the way, I love how you set up a detailed profile form and gave away no details. xD
I love him too. *squishes* He's a really fun character. Super impulsive. And has an awesome older brother.
In other news, as Jandee hinted at, we convinced Missy to join so she could chat with ya.
Thanks. *blushes* And I'm glad you knew it was Autumn, too. ^^- Did I get Lydia's hair right? That's how I've always imagined it, and you were really vague when I looked up the profile form again. xD I have it saved on my computer.
I'm glad your scanner wizened up! I'd love to see your pics too. ^^
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh152/Saeko-san/KenyaandLydia.jpg
I think I wanna make it digital. xD With colors.
It's a ton of fun. If ya join 4-H, you have to do that project - it's just a given for rodent lovers. ;)
And yeah, torbies are so cute. o_0 Kittens in general... so adorable... And of course I remembered the classic M shape. :3 It even has blue eyes since it's a kitten. -pokes them-

Arson has been reborn! (Via Rebirth item.) Rejoice!
Last night I purchasd a Forever Upgrade. Seems like a decent investment, in the long run. This morning I also picked up the Trainer Perk, and perhaps later the Breeder Perk.
6-8-10
Let us celebrate!
Another year gone. Happy Birthday to me. /sarcasm
6-5/4-10
I donated 10 Bones to the Amur Leopard Charity Drive at about 11:30PM. I am very pleased I was able to. I nearly forgot about it... cutting it kind of close to the deadline 'n all, don't you think? Hah.
5-23-10
Second place in the April/May Referral Contest. Five rares of my choosing... which I have no clue of.
5-12-10
My sweet, sweet Arson passed away today. Thing is, I only received one health warning that he was hungry. Honestly, it makes no sense.
5-3-10
Arrived home at roughly 3:20PM, today.
Purchased my first Australian Shepherd. A female named Magdalene (her name is subject to change). I was hoping for a black tri male, but she will do fine for now.
4-27-10
It is 11:16PM, and as I write this I am getting ready to head out the door at midnight, gone for a week. I apologize in advance for any messages I am unable to answer, etc.
4-15-10
As I write this I am enjoying a nice Cookie Dough milkshake. You should try one.
I may take up roleplaying again, just to get back into practise. Ugh. I haven't written in a very long time. Any recommendations?
4-13-10
I was watching a TV show when the phone rang. It was a college. I don't ever remember putting my name down for any colleges, not yet, at least... so it was pretty cool. He was very imformative, and invited me to come down sometime to check out the place.
Made my night!
When he asked if I had any questions, I sophisticatedly answered "No, not really." Of course I now have a million questions.
-facepalm-
4-12-10
...I just forgot what I was going to write here. I will be back.
Well, today I have created a new character for either roleplaying (which I haven't done in a very long time) or for a future story (again, which I haven't done in a very long time). I love his name. So uncommon. I've actually only heard it once (regardless, it is an actual name).
4-9-10
As of 12:29PM, 4/9/10, I am upgraded for a two month long period. We shall see if I like it, if so, I may invest in a year long. It expires the day after my birthday. Oh the irony! Hehah.
