An Event We Will Never Forget

It has been 10 years, a full decade, since the tragic attacks on the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and Flight 93. This was a day that will live in our memories as one of the darkest moments in American history.

To commemorate this event and all the lives lost, Alacrity users can collect one random item using the button above.

We ask that users not look on this as a gift on a holiday, but rather as a tribute to those who lost their lives that day. The victims and the volunteers who risked their own lives to save others, and the families of those lost who carry on with their loved ones in their hearts.

We would also like to direct your attention to the Hardcore Pups Shop where the A.L.A.C. Vest is available for purchase. Many of the American Search and Rescue Dogs wore a vest much like these to dig through the rubble and alert their handlers to people in need. These dogs deserve recognition especially on this site in the aftermath of that day.

Let today not only be a reminder of the terrible event 10 years ago, but a reminder to put love and acceptance first in our hearts.

With all our love and support,
The Alacrity Staff.

I live in NJ, and one of the vets I work with was telling us last weekend about how she was up there helping the search & rescue dogs in 2001. She said that, like their human counterparts, most of them developed medical problems after their time at the WTC.

RIP to the lost ones. A friend of mine lost her mother because of it, and even though we were very young, it was very difficult. Also, Locked, I believe only one dog was lost during the attack... Sirius the Lab. Although it is sad to lose a dog. 3:
