As you might've noticed, we've put up the Zombie/Survivor and Halloween Dig events up again this year We thought we'd try something a little different - because many users had Halloween points left over from last year (and lets face it no one really cares who wins anyway) we decided to not blank the pumpkins and, instead, let everyone play this year as a kind of free-for-all. There will not be a prize for the winning team or highest scoring user this year, but instead everyone gets to keep all the points they had left over and add to them for this year's event! That way you should be able to get whatever prizes you're working towards without quite as much work as some previous years!
If any of you see Ehm around, be sure to give them a big effin' THANK YOU!! for fixing most of the broken switches for the Halloween events this week! Also for otherwise being awesome and always cleaning up my messes and keeping things running around here :P
My computer, alas, has once again bitten the big one (for those of you still keeping count, that is FIVE computers that have bitten the dust in my care since I started staffing this site in 2010. I'm starting to think it may, in fact, be me.) so we may be a bit slower than usual fixing any bugs or coding issues you see around site until I get it repaired/replaced.
Enjoy the game and don't forget to keep your eyes open for bigger news on the horizon. I've got something in the works I can't wait to tell you guys about!
The good news is, I've finally gotten the admin team back into the database.
The bad news is the server's HDD is full again, causing the broken images and chat issues you're all experiencing now.
Luckily, there is a very nice coder named Alan from whom I'm hoping to get some help on this in relatively short order, but, when it comes right down to it, these are going to be stopgap efforts.
As things develop I hope to keep you guys posted, and, if I get my way, we will not have to worry about this issue long term.
That said, I very much hate that the site is being a giant poopface at us all and I sincerely apologize on its behalf.
