Breeding Records
Started By
So, I was sitting here at my computer trying to find some Border Collies from a litter I had bred. I found them, but not until after I went through their dam's offspring list. (I knew the dam because I kept the female from that litter.) Anyhow, later on I got to thinking that it would be a massive hassle if I had to do that every time I wanted to check up on the progress of my precious ones.
So, here's my suggestion: On a player's profile page, there could be a link to a "Dogs bred by this player" page or something of that nature. Said page would display all dogs which had been born on that account.
Not only would that be beneficial to the players themselves if they want to see how their favourite stud's pups are turning out or whatever, but other people could use it to see how successful that player had been, breeding-wise. Or perhaps they own a dog bred by someone and want to see what their dog's siblings or half-siblings look like.
And, isn't the whole point of this site to breed dogs which excel? I for one would love to showcase my success in that area, and I'm sure there are others who feel the same.
What does the wider Alacrity community think?

No support, that would take away the reason we have dog tags.

I can see the benefits in this but I would not want it for myself. I have produced many ugly pups it\'s not even funny. <br /> <br /> I do support, only if it is optional.

Full support, because I don't like having to hand-tabulate my bred pups that I've sold to various owners. 8< That would be devastating for my left hand.

Exactly. And it would be an added bonus for people who are upgraded and do have dogtags. <br /> <br /> xD I replied to my own post.

Yes, but this requires less effort because it is automatic. And as Knentoh said, people who aren't upgraded don't have dogtags.

Isn't that what a tag is for? if you want to keep a breeding record couldn't you just put it on your main profile page with the dogs ID number?

I support, sometimes I have trouble finding dogs tagged by me even, and sometimes I forget to tag them before their sold.

That's the point of the dog tag, but that doesn't help people who aren't upgraded... so I support :)
