Let's add a little luck?
Started By
So in chat today, a little debate came up. Some people look at the dogs entered in a trial, and compare their dog(s) to the others entered. They will not enter if the dog does not statistically calculate above the others. (I think I worded that right.) Some people are entering many dogs so a trial has over 5 entries (as much as 10-20). Now, some people get upset when a trial has over 5 entries, but remember that five is a minimum, not a maximum. So my idea is: Perhaps Rob should add luck to the trails as in real life nothing like that happens, just because your dogs' 'stats' are better, it shouldn't always win.

I like it, cause I won't enter a trial if my dogs have no chance :(

i'd be fine with a *little* luck. Say you can get by with a 50% TP range and maybe one not perfect stat or something. Still allowing stats to be important but not totally dependent on them

i dont like the idea eather ante, i worked hard to max my dog out, im curently maxing another dog out to breed to max that puppy out si i can have a gsd with over 1,000 TP. why should all my hard work go to wast on something like luck?

hmmm...ante is right >_O i didnt even think of that (seeing as how i dont have many maxed dogs yet)

See, the way I look at it, people train to max their dogs, and use magical rubber balls on them to perfect their stats. People breed and breed and breed to produce pups that are perfect for trialing. I think adding luck would sort of defeat the purpose of all the hard work. I understand that "luck" would only add a bit of a chance, but I'm not sure I like the idea.
Sorry, but no support.

i like the luck idea :)

we should still be able to enter as many dogs as we want into a trial and have no set max but luck would make it more interesting ;)
