i think they should ether
1 put the fish oil back like it was now it's kinda not worth it
2 change it so that it takes dog's health since in real life too much can make your dog sick
and or
3 lower the price now to the price of regular food because it's again not worth 36k for 100 if you are limited to how many you can use

If something like this were moved to random events with 20 consecutive uses, I think it would have to be a separate item and introduced as an RE alone in the first place.<br /> <br /> Otherwise the main flaw is that there are 23,816 fish oils in current existence and most of them belong to a handful of users who have stocked up. To suddenly remove them from the shop now, change the use, and move it to RE only would most likely be on the level of "completely unfair" to the rest of the populace.<br /> <br /> I personally don't think it is essential to have this item, and the whole heartache caused by not being able to use it in a powering manner has made it become almost regrettable introducing the item to begin with bugged or not, if the perspective can be understood.<br /> <br /> I feel it is bargaining on what was someone's good will and intention.<br /> <br /> Such an item already exists in the form of the magical rubber ball, which can be used nonstop, but is balanced through its price and availability. <br /> <br /> Aside from personality perfection (which can be trialed) there would be no sense buying the magical rubber ball item.

20 uses would be limited, the limit would be 20 uses.

I think by unlimited, they meant that it remains as is, no removal of hunger, but still 20 uses per bottle.<br /> <br /> If it is only obtained through a random event, fewer bottles would be on the site. Less would be available. I think it is an easy solution.

How would it be disastrous?<br /> <br /> Even if someone got 2-3 bottles a month, through random events, that is less uses than per day per dog. As it now stands one dog can use Fish oil 90 times in a 30 day month at 3x per day.<br /> <br /> If it remained unlimited in uses, but obtained only through random event, even if you go 3 bottles in a month, it is still just 60 uses in that month.

Carni, the admin/artist who came in and stated that it was her mistake, is not active in chat a lot (presumably because she has a lot of art to do on different sites and likely has her hands full), I think that's the reason why it was stated it was a mistake so late.<br /> <br /> We (mods, newbie helpers, admins, etc in general) did not know it was a mistake, trust me.

A mod said that we should not complain about getting this great item and we should be happy it came out? So no admin/mod said anything about it being a error in while it was being talked about in chat.

Loree, capped dogs were the purpose of the game, but mass breeding them wasn't. So many items around now really encourage the mass production of them, but so few players are willing to train them. Not everyone can afford a MWB or MFB so the prices drop so low so people will buy them that new players end up with them not realizing they're in for one long training session. After getting no where on one stat, they eventually give up and breed the dog unmaxed. The large quantities of cheap capped dogs is the problem, not the dogs being capped themselves.

I knew it was not intentional for an item like that to be released, however it seemed best to confirm with the administrator whom implemented it to begin with before speaking to the public (from my own standpoint).<br /> <br /> It was not widely discussed when the item was placed in, and we eventually found it was coded incorrectly when the question was raised by another administrator.<br /> <br /> The code is now corrected in how it was formerly intended to be, and I can only apologise if any member of staff had added to the confusion by stating that it was meant to be that powerful if that was the case. I do agree it would be wrong to state something that is not correct and create confusion or investments.

I think I would be less upset about the change IF it had been discussed in the very beginning that it was an error.<br /> <br /> When the fish oil's capabilities were discussed in chat, and players were astonished really, that it didn't reduce hunger (which would be the proper use of it, not limiting it's use to 3 per day). But, every mod and admin on at the time justified it, and were surprised that it was being questioned.<br /> <br /> So, it's intent confirmed, we all went along and used it.<br /> <br /> Had it been identified as an error in the first place, no one would question the change.<br /> <br /> As to capped dogs being a problem, I don't think so. They should not be eliminated from the site, or reduced.<br /> <br /> After all, the whole point of the game in the first place was to breed the best dog you could, train it to it's full potential and trial it. Capped dogs hardly outnumber non capped dogs in the game.<br />

You could try testing periods of different combinations of ideas. Like higher price, trial limit and no limited feeding... or could just increase the limit... Personally I don't see why training needs to be as much of a challenge as it is, it'd be nice to be able to train them a bit quicker which Fish Oil offers I'm sure there's a certain combination that could work in the end
