New adult aussue pictures
Started By
With the fluffy realistic pup we are now getting, it is even more obvious the current aussie pictures do not do the breed justice. We have two real aussies in my street, and they are much more elegant and alert and vibrant in their colors.
I never liked the aussie pics that much, they come over clumsy and timid (and constipated lol).
I would think it is high time to update the breed's pictures.

The only other breed with an off-appearance is the husky as far as I can see, but they have enough other issues.

Yeah I think it matters. I don't mind off colors, but the off appearance.

No support. Don't see a reason why, I don't think those reason your suggested are total valid reasons as they seem more like opinions.

Personally, I like the current Aussies. This site doesn't really keep to the 'realistic' side of things anyway, so why does that matter? If it mattered then I think you'd be complaining about a bunch of other breeds, because the Aussie is a far cry from being a deep concern for being 'unrealistic'.

I support I love aussie's but the colors and such really need to be updated.

Maybe they could simply be re-sized to be more proportionate to the other dogs? Would that be very difficult?

Support. I had loved the thought of breeding Aussie's on here... but they don't appeal to me that much =( I had hoped for them to look more Aussie-like. I realize this will take a long time, but it would be worth it, in my opinion.

As a real life Aussie owner I honestly don't care for the Ala Aussie and do wish they would change it - I really did try to love them but they really don't do the breed justice so I work with borders instead.

Edit Addition: Since in real life there are two distinct lines of Aussies perhaps we can have two different lines of Aussies on Ala as well. That way if people wanted to continue working with the old lines they could and those that want to work with the new lines could do so.

I support. I really don't like the adult Aussie images, never have. I will keep my opinions on the art to myself, as it may hurt artists feelings...
But I do support re-doing the Aussie art.

I don't support for reasons already stated. I'd be very upset if any of the adult dog images were redone. They're all just fine.
The pup images I don't care about, my dogs aren't staying pups.

No support. At all. I love the Aussie images, and feel the same about most of the other breeds.

I do not support this.

The Aussie images may not be perfect, but they are, in my opinion, really good. As far as the colours, the muted tones are part of Alacrity's art style, and as someone who breeds primarily Aussies on Ala, I know I don't want to see them change.

It's probably the breed image that needs to be updated the least.

I do not support.

Edit:

I agree with Ehm above.
As well as most dogs with such a wide variety of colors and markings, not ALL of them will be vibrantly marked or colored. I've seen plenty of 'diluted' colors in aussies, in real life, and online.
