I think it would be really cool, if on Ala we could put our dogs up for a private sale. Then we can pick who they go to and everything. Or if we sold a dog, we were notified if our dog was sent to the elderly home. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is really frustrated by people who randomly buy dogs and then sell them to elderly homes. And I hate to admit it, but I WAS one of them. And I have to say I'm sorry to every person I did it too. But I think this would be a really neat tool. =)

No support on the notification of retirement.

But I do support the private sale, provided it works differently than a public sale. Such as instead of putting your dog up for a specific price to be purchased someone can enter an offer for the dog then the owner can accept/reject. I would personally suggest the person who submits the offer can withdraw the offer and after 5 days or so with the seller not accepting/rejecting your offer it automatically is withdraw (with you getting a notification of this occurring). Possibly it could be done so that the person offering can decide how long the offer is valid for (sort of like when you buy a house) and after the specified number of days the offer is automatically withdraw (with both people getting notified). Does that make sense?

No support on the suggestion of notifying when the dog is sent to the retirement home. If they pay several thousand for a dog and then retire it for $200 or whatever the amount is, that is their business.

A private sale feature might be a bit useful, but since you could just do what Tintenherz suggested, I'm going to say no support for now as I feel there are more important things the coders should focus on.

You could just exchange money for dog via the gifting page.

Well, my sister had a terrible experience and it made me upset. She sold a maxed dog for 9k or so, and that person retired it as soon as they bought it. And I feel as though this would prevent a lot of havoc that happens. It's okay for you to disagree, it's just my idea.

No support only becuase we do have a blocked list where we can choose who doesn't buy dogs ;)

We can not control who buys dogs and retires them and if we could, it wouldn't be fair. Its a part of the economy and I'm sure that people who retire those dogs have a reason for doing so :)
