Alacrity Stray Dogs
Started By
There should be a random event where you find a dog. It could go like this:
"You were walking in the park with your dog ______, and you spied a lone/stray dog! You find its owner and you were rewarded _______(common item or ala cash)"
Or something like that.
Quagga gave me this idea, so I edited it. x3

If a dog runs away, there's still that period of time the last owner has to buy it back. It's quite reasonable. Try to view the pound as a good thing. It has an unpleasant name, but you're able to find reasonable dogs, and someone is bound to buy them.<br /> <br /> And it's quite the opposite, the dog is far from useless; you can still trial with it. Trialing is the primary focus of Alacrity, you know, and many players could consider buying the dog solely for trialing. And after all, the high TP benefits only trialers; breeders gets no benefits from a high TP - other than possibly selling the dog, I suppose. Breeding is FAR from necessary; it's fun to do, but simply not a requirement. But if you're willing to spend that money to biscuit it, then that's your own decision. <br /> <br /> I also know that many players are hesitant to sell or pound their dogs because they don't want other players to buy them and breed them unmaxed, or don't want other players to breed their dogs at all, and risk ruining the original breeder's lines.

But quagga, there are many high tp dogs in the pound, and many beautifully marked as well. I recently bought a husky on my other account with a flawless coat and over 400 tp ( good for a newb is all i can say) It nearly broke my heart that the dog was neutered and i plan on biscuiting it as soon as i get the hang of money making. ALl the dogs ARE fixed so that the servers dont get overwhelmed, but an amazing dog that runs away can still end up fixed and useless to many players

Rewarded- for sending a dog to the pound? I do NOT support that. :T <br /> <br /> I don't so much support this. Maybe Quagga's idea.... But not this.

No support, unless this exists solely as a text RE - "You were walking in the park when you spied a stray dog! You found the owner and was rewarded with $."<br /> <br /> Also, dogs that go to the pound are also there to provide new players a chance at cheaper dogs. They are fixed to avoid overwhelming Alacrity with low TP dogs, in the event that they don't max the dog first and instead focus primarily on breeding. Or at least, this is what I've heard...

But the main difference is dogs sent to the pound are immediately fixed, stray dogs wont be fixed unless they were to begin with, giving you an opportunity to have a beautiful ( and breedable) dog, i dont think you should get a reward for sending the dog to the pound though. I support this idea and i hope that others can see the value this feature would add as well

I just don't like the idea, it does not sound very appealing as we already have the Pound. I believe if you wish to have a stray dog, you can get it from there :) <br /> <br /> No support.

Yeah! :D And when you send it to the pound you get a small reward! Like $500 ala cash or something.

I think that finding the dog shouldnt place it in your kennel. it should have options WHEN you find the stray<br /> <br /> leave alone<br /> send to pound<br /> take home

Sounds like a neat idea, provided you can turn the feature off and you don't get any strays if your kennel is at capacity. These "strays" could be the foundation dogs that don't sell.<br /> <br /> I semi-support.

Well, you can lock your kennel from finding dogs, like the transfer thing. And the dogs could be foundations. And they never had owners.
