Shark watched as a Jack Russel suddenly joined the two dogs. He raised his tail silently, and continued to watch from the silence of the shadows.

Hunger soon maned at his stomach, and he looked at the tall barn. Food was all he could think of, and he could easily snatch a chicken from their coop.

Audrey smiled at the sight of other dogs, but Frost just rolled his brown eyes. The brother and sister jack russel terriers always did everything together, and today they had planned to stay in the barn. What they didn't expect to see was bigger, larger dogs.
"Hello!" The sister walked up to the other dogs first. Her tiny tail wagged in greeting. Frost came up after Audrey, slightly less friendly. Both of their pure white coats shone in the sunlight.

Shark watched from a distance, his eyes a blazing cold blue, holding a blank look on his face. Another Siberian Husky was only yards away, along with another dog who seemed to be greeting her. His pure black markings helped him blend into the shadows of the over-hanging farm house.

He decided to keep low and watch from afar. If they found him, then he would come out. He had a large figure, but could hide easily.

Asha(Ah-sha) had watched this whole scenario, and found it quite funny. She stepped from the shadows, her typical St. Bernard markings glinting in the morning sun. The tattered collar on her neck was rubbing a sore, and she wished she could rip it off. "Hello. I'm Asha."

Teriani crept forwards, her huge body low to the ground. The rat was yet to notice her, too busy snuffling around on the ground. Her dark grey coat shone and her light coloured eyes were bright in the morning sunlight. The tall Siberian Husky crept a little closer, pointed ears maned. Using powerful hind legs, Teriani leapt forwards and grabbed a hold of the rat, clamping down powerful jaws and killing it instantly. Quite suddenly, there was a loud volley of barking and four German Sheperds apeared, snarling menacingly. Teriani fled, skidding around the corner of a barn. She collided with a large, golen-furred male and tripped, the dead rat flying from her jaws.
