He cleared his throat again, feeling a slight pain in the action. "Where exactly am I?" he was able to say. His words were more clear this time.

The strength in his rear leg gave out and he sat in response. He knew he wasn't ready for a fight, and he hoped this wasn't going to be one.

"Hey Laylie. Your patient is up." raven growled. "Thanks Ray." Laylie said and approached the den. Raven flicked her ear. She hated being called Ray.

He saw the other wolf looking at him and abandoned his attempts to sneak. He painfully readied for any conflict.
