Alacrity Dogs and Death
Started By
On Alacrity, what is the most culturally accepted way for a dog to end its career? Other than making it immortal, that is, because not everyone can afford to immortalize every single dog. The options that I see are selling it to an elderly home or letting it die. Each kennel has a tally of how many dogs have died in their care though, which suggests that that is a no-no... or do dogs that die of old age not go on that tally? There is also a tally of how many have been put down, though I have yet to discover a means to do that. So is selling it to an elderly home right before it dies the way to go?
My dogs all have a long way to go before I need to actually worry about this, but I had been wondering about it and figured I might as well ask.

The dogs put down thing isn't accurate. Everyone has it at 0. Dog deaths however do show up, as I have 139. I don't see dog deaths as a bad thing. It shows to everyone looking that my dogs lived long lives. Having 139 dead dogs doesn't affect other users' opinion of me badly, as most users here have had a dog die. It is okay for your dogs to die the natural way. However, selling your pets to an elderly home, is not as acceptable but it's still not that horrible of a thing to do. Some users have problems with it, if it's done prematurely, but most don't care.
