My Dog's Food Advice (REAL LIFE!)
Started By
So my Dog Holly Berry, Holly for short, is an eleven-year-old Chocolate Labrador Retriver. Her food is too hard for her to chew, so I've switched to can food, but which brand(s) should I use?

But it's not to prevent them from dehydrating, but to help decrease the load put on the kidney's, which start to wear out as dogs gets older.

Use Natural Balance wet food. It is a good brand, it has great ingredients.

My dogs love their Wellness! They have awesome dry and wet varieties. I actually recommend adding a bit of water to any dogs food, as long as they eat it soon after it is made. It helps increase their water intake, as well as slows them down eating. Personally I put a spoonful of wet with some water, mix it up to make a gravy, then add their dry and supplements (fish oil, flax seed oil, and glucosamine). Best of luck!

No, don't put water in the dog food and mash it up, that speeds up bacteria growth in the food and will make your dog sick.

Try Blue Buffalo or Taste of The Wild
